New ‘touch-feely’ robots detect cancer 40% better than humans

Canadian researchers have developed a new ‘touch-feely’ robot that is capable of detecting tougher tumour tissue with 40pct more accuracy than a human.

Surgeons have developed new minimally invasive surgery (MIS) techniques and instruments so that procedures that would previously have required a large incision can now be performed through a tiny 10mm cut.
