Finally! An article from a mainstream news-source that is finally taking a step back and looking at practical solutions for Burma/Myanmar. One of the most amazing things about the people living in Myanmar is their incredible spirit, community and support for each other, not to mention their hospitality. I have been wondering when the International community will come up with a better solution to simple the black and white belief that sanctions will solve this problem. Sanctions leave the people of Burma feeling cut off and ostracized making them easier to manipulate and disregard. This practical solution that the people of Myanmar have of working together and helping each other is something the rest of the world should be learning from right now. Not only have we cut off the people of Burma, but we have cut ourselves off from learning from their amazing spirit. They have a lot to teach us.This is a really good article and not very long, please take a minute to read it in full, it is really inspiring. I have also read that the amount of aid going to Burma is one of the lowest in the world, a truly deplorable fact.
