    • Why are some so scared of health care reform in the USA? What do they think Medicare is? That's socialized medicine. I can just imagine the outcry if it were to be eradicated

    • All of this is great information we need health care reform. The thing that really bothers me is how there is no concern for the people without health care. What the hell are we animals? Well I don't mean to insult animals. We have to care more about each other. I know this is weird and crazy talk but it's true. Love and Peace to all of you my brothers and sisters.

    • Official World Health Organization statistics show the U.S. lagging behind France in infant mortality rates — 6.7 per 1,000 live births vs. 3.8 for France. In the U.S., any infant born that shows any sign of life for any length of time is considered a live birth. In France — in fact, in most of the European Union — any baby born before 26 weeks' gestation is not considered alive and therefore doesn't "count" in reported infant mortality rates.

    • Somebody show this stuff to the crazies at the town hall meetings. Wait...is there any way we can put it in a pop-up book? Might make it easier for them to understand.

    • Mortaliy for baby is calculated differently in the US than in France.

Americans pay for the same drugs much more than other countries

Purchasing prescrition medecine can be done over the internet for 60% less.

What the hell are you thinking? Oh yeah when I went to France everyone had ten year old dead babies. Its one thing to not think before you speak but it takes a real fool to type faster then you think.

Or are you thinking we use the standard method of counting dead babies but France uses some kind of metric dead baby counting system.

    • 2/3 of Health Cost will come from Insurance Reform. 1/3 from the Rich.

Advance to the halfway point of this video to get past the niceties to where Obama explains how reform will be paid for. it's an hour and 17 minutes.

By the way (and this is from me) we spend $775,000 per year per troop on Afghanistan in a war of questionable value to anyone.

(ref http://current.com/items/90656777_taliban-now-winning.htm) The Obama administration is in the midst of an Afghan buildup that will push U.S. troop levels here to a record 68,000 by year end. There are roughly an additional 30,000 troops from North Atlantic Treaty Organization countries and other allies.

$775,000 x 68,000 (new troops just sent there) = $527,000,000,000 (over half a trillion per year). If you're so worried about cost, why aren't you complaining about this? War destroys and kills. it builds nothing. It takes lives, not save them. It is useless.
