Comet Swift-Tuttle Debris Rains Down on California in Meteor Shower

In early August, the earth passed through debris left behind by the Comet Swift-Tuttle as it has repeatedly crossed through the path of the earth's orbit. Thousands of meteorites rained down on the earth, and many were captured in this timelapse video, shot over the course of an hour at an elevation of 10,000 feet in the White Mountains in California.
