    • my grandfather told me that the indian name for Los Angeles was, the valley of smoke. Fire storm is natural weather for the chapperal of the coastal desert which includes all the south coast of California. The seeds of the native plants cann't germinate without being burnt. The natural environment is very hot and dry. It's only the water from the Colorado River and the Ca. aquaduct that makes Los Angeles livable. The natural water resource of L.A. couldn't support 1/10th the population there. People living on the edge of the chapperal forest will always get burned out, it's just the natural cycle there.

    • Maybe people are just tired of being harassed by "the people of the state of california vs. (enter victimless criminal's name) Maybe it's self defense? Maybe they just decided to make an match-strike their third strike? You can get life in jail (basically the same as death or worse) for victimless "crime" So self defense is quite valid.
