Historically, dictators are stupid and almost always manage to destroy themselves. One can say that's in their nature. The attempt to seize more power as possible, rampant paranoia , the pathological need for adulation, and the tendency to surround themselves with men more stupid than they are often cause their downfall. Besides if they were of sound mind they would not be dictators.
