    • Sure glad Obama saw fit to make sure they got their corporate welfare up front before the smoke clears from this futile 'reform' process.
Change you can believe in? Hmmm

let's see here... wikipedia says in 2008 they made $48.3 billion, devide that by 12 months for the year... that makes $4.05 billion a month... that's roughly $1 billion a week... so to pay out $2.3 billion from pfizer... out of ~$48.3 billion a year (in 2008)... that's a drop in the bucket... they'll make up that loss in less than two weeks.

don' think they shouldn't be fined for their marketing practices, but should be fined over the mass deaths and suffering they endorse, encourage, and promote in the name of profit.

Approximately 500 people died when defective Convexo-Concave valves failed.

experimental antibiotic, trovafloxacin, was administered to approximately 200 children... more than 50 children died from infection, while many others developed mental and physical deformities... Pfizer administered the trovafloxacin (now marketed as Trovan) without parental consent.

not to mention the massive 'contibutions' their lobyists give out to buy and bribe our lawmakers and the FDA just to continue their shared monopoly with merk and keep things like marajuana illegal... THAT should be a crime.

    • I know.. that's why I said this:

"I'd like to pause here to address an issue discussed with my friend David about trusting doctors when it comes to prescribing medicine and vaccines because "they went to medical school." Consider the influence of drug companies such as Pfizer who, obviously, has no problem paying $2.3 billion fine and spending possibly even more on wining and dining of doctors and advertizing in medical journals..."
