Surveillance Video Shows Moments Before ShootingTOCCOA - Surveillance video shows 28-year-old Jonathan Ayers entering a convenience store just minutes before he would be shot. Joe Joseph, who owns the Shell station on Currahee Street, says everything seemed normal when Ayers walked in around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon.
During the short time that Ayers was in the convenience store, he came straight to an ATM and then he left.
Joe Joseph says within the next two minutes, something very unusual happened. He heard gun shots. "I've never seen anything like that before. You know, I watch movies but this was totally different."
As you can see in the video, a black Escalade truck pulls up next to a pump and before it completely stops, a man jumps out. "I think I heard 3 shots."
The men in the Escalade were undercover drug agents. Joseph says he saw them shooting as Ayers, the young pastor, tried to back up and get away. "He pulled off and they followed." A short time later, Ayers wrecked his car.
"At that time (of the shooting), I had a parking lot full of people. I mean they could have blown up one of my pumps and that would have been a total mess."

Georgia Drug Cops Murder Innocent Preacher
There is a horrific news story breaking out of Northwest Georgia. A young preacher who was not the target of a botched drug raid was shot while in his car trying to get away.
The preacher had just dropped off a woman who was the target of the drug raid.
The preacher went into the store and used the ATM after dropping the woman off. He then went back outside and got in his car to leave when plain clothes cops jumped out of an SUV and opened fire on him. They shot him through the liver and he crashed his car and died. The cops told his 4 month pregnant wife that he died in an accident. They failed to mention they shot him and caused the wreck.
Here is the video.
My husband and I will be traveling to the preacher's church in Toccoa, Georgia to talk with the members.

the point im making here is....the "weapon" coulda been completley eliminated out of the situation...had these officers nabbed this guy in or out front of the store before he got in the car.now, had this have happened...there would have been no need for all the violence that took place...this situation coulda been handled on a smaller scale and in my veiw coulda been avoided.....NUFF SAID.

people are always so quick to assume cops did the right thing...they messed this one up.they should have dug a bit more information about this guy before they ran up on him as if he was a dangerous felon.you dont even know the whole story funsize...all you see is the "obvious"...try reading between the lines someday.had the police done proper investigating, this never woulda happened..all they did was see the "obvious"..and their preception of the obvious was wrong.like i said before...they(cops) could have easily taken this man in custody when he was on foot..but did they?no, they choose to wait til he got behind the wheel of a car...which is considered a weapon...to go all bruce willis/lethal weapon on his a**/this very much could have been avoided.

Did i ever call this admirable police work? Not by a long shot. However, the man was given the option to freeze and instead he tried to run over the cops with a weapon as you stated. That would be attempted murder of an officer with a deadly weapon. Not exactly the action of an innocent man. Maybe you should read between the lines.

Yeah, we should maybe, maybe, listen to what a witness have to say (The convenience store owner said "I thought they were shooting each other. I didn't know they were undercover agents. There was nothing marked.")

Let's read between the lines.

There was an article on this several days ago. The "innocent" pastor tried to run over a cop. Thats a quick way to get yourself hurt.

PLAIN CLOTHES... I don't know about you but if someone in PLAIN CLOTHES was shooting at me, I'd run 'em over too...

Did you actually watch the video? The plain clothes officers jump out of their vehicle and i assume they shouted "Police. Freeze!" or something along those lines. The car continued to back up into one of the officers and THEN they opened fire. When their lives were on the line. Was it perfect police work. No... but the guy tried to run over an officer. Not a smart move.

So, I've read that those two undercover cops, who are responsible for this shooting, are on paid vacation until the investigation is complete. Hm, I just want to say this again. They are on paid vacation until the investigation is complete. On paid vacation. Until the investigation is complete.
