NOAA Supercomputers to improve weather forecast accuracy

The primary system called Stratus and its backup system called Cirrus, will allow NOAA to run more complex models in an effort to improve forecast accuracy and extend watch and warning lead times for severe weather.

    • weather isnt worth spending this much money on... we'll never be able to predict it accuratly enough for this to be worth it. and even if we do end up being able to predict it 100%, so what. spent millions to see which direction the clouds will go.. loooool
