California is NOT mostly conservitive we have had many Democrat Goveners and we did at one time vote for gay marrige untill out of state forces butted in and told lies. I do consider it as mostly liberal. I have lived here all my life.Orange County is another question they do not speak for California.

For anybody that hasn't been to california and call it liberal is sorley mistaken. You see, our state does have liberal areas such as LA, San Dieogo, and basicly the entire bay area. The rest of the state is well, very conservative, I mean big time. As a Native South Carolinian that has moved here it has surprised the hell out of me how right leaning this state is and how much of a closet racist it is as well (at some times almost more than my homestate and they used to fly a confederate flag on the statehouse). So this does not surprise me at all. So for fellow people traveling to my new homestate if you lean left in your ideals my advice to you is stay in the cities because the rest of the state isn't too fond of our ideals.

California is so diverse we have China town Korea town Alvarado street. I have gone to all the neighborhoods and enjoyed everyone. We have pockets just in Los Angeles were there are certain cultures just like if you talk about Glendale that is where there is alot of Armenians and so on. I love it! I think its more of a cultural thing and less of a race thing, although there are plenty of people which it is the actual race.
People are afraid of losing their culture either to outside influences (mid-east extremist, native americans) or from people in their own country who are bringing in other cultures (immigrants). Of course todays culture is a mix of immigrants/colonial/blacks.
In the long run, the world is going to mix, it might take hundreds of years but it will happen.
However, as much as I think its wrong to exclude other cultures joining your nation, I think its also wrong to not adopt the culture to which nation you are joining; which has been a mistake done by most first-generation immigrants.

Evoleon is really missinformed. I think that illegal immigrants have and continue to add to the plate. They are hadrworking low wage workers that lower prices.
If you want to see immigrants go away, tell your congressman to lower minimum wage. Or help latin countries to creat jobs. Give them loans to start businessess. Or stop whining.

naacp exists, why cant a pro white organization exist too.
just because its pro white doesnt infer racism.
but either way, if one is good then all are good. thats how equality works. and if one is bad, all is bad. pro any race parties are in bad taste, but as long as there is racism, there will be pro race parties.
me and a few friends tried something similar to this at highschool. because there was a philipino pride club, african american pride club, latino club, and cambodian pride club... so we started the european pride club. we were told that we were racists and the club could not exist (even though we had a teacher backing us). we laughed it off mostly, but the point still stands.

The idea of a white interest party is not necessarily racist. Our government is allowing illegal immigrants to come in and destroy communities like the affluent suburb I grew up in. I hate watching my home town go to shit because of illigals who do not pay income taxes, increase crime and flood our schools with their kids. If the Republicans and Democrats are not going to protect American communities than someone has to.

"pro-white group pushing for political representation"
WHITE people need to push for political representation? You could have fooled me! As Barium pointed out, it's almost painful that some people seem to have NO sense of history or reality! Our entire government was founded by white people, for white people and remains majority white people!
The only reason other minority groups have been/are formed is because they actually DO need to "push for representation!" We're living in a country where we spent hundreds of years treating black people as subhuman slaves and we STILL treat most of our minority groups as second class citizens (the LGBT community comes to mind!)
This topic always drives me crazy. Some people say it's "white guilt", but it has nothing to do with guilt at all, just a realistic sense of political history and how our government functions! The "double standards" that exist were born from discrimination. White People: STOP. We have no reason to get ridiculous about our "rights"- we ensured them by invading every part of the globe and taking over every culture we ran into. We don't need "Pro-White" groups because America already IS "Pro-White" and we are already represented!

given that on a genetic level, we're 99.9% identical, race technically doesn't exist. we're all human so it really bothers me that even in this day and age with all the knowledge that has been unearthed, that some people would still want to see themselves as separate from the rest of us.
and no, i don't agree with evoleon or anyone who says that it's similar to minorities forming organizations to represent themselves. those organizations were formed primarily due to the fact that their voices were being suppressed, and their lives were being oppressed.
do i have to bring up the obvious? the people who've been running this country since it's inception have been white, and for anyone that is white who thinks they needed additional representation, you should write to your representatives. i think the original "pro-white" organization was called the ku klux klan.
we should all be moving towards the greater good for EVERYBODY in this country.

Hey I'm Latino and I think this is a good idea. Many may say it's wrong, but it's no different than the hundreds of organizations geared to minorities. I understand how white people must feel, people that care little for their system of government come in and begin to destroy it. They take from the plate but they don't return anything. Yes I am referring to illegal immigrants. They get aid from the government but they often have jobs where they don't pay taxes. They move into neighborhoods and crime travels with them. Many predominantly white neighborhoods have been turned to slums because of this.
Now I'm not sure what their political stances are on things, but they have a right to form groups even if motivated by promoting one race. There are too many double standards in this country when dealing with race. People need to accept that ideas of racial diversity are plagued with problems.

You need to stop using the Latino label given to you by the US government and start working for unifying people. I do not agree with a party based on race or religion, it is not inclusive, which after all is what democracy is all about.
And about illegal immigration, this article does not have anything to do with that. But if you want to debate the topic, you should do a little more research. Millions of undocumented workers clean our hotels, pick our vegetables and process the meat you eat everyday without access to any federal programs. They do not hace a social security number and that dows not allow them to apply to "federal aid".
On the taxation issue, they pay taxes everytime they buy anything, pay rent or pump gas. Income taxes? They can't claim any, so the government keeps a whole bunch of money from your brown brothers - 2 years ago

Hey my family is from Argentina and they came here a while ago, legally. My mother was born in the US and so was I. We have no connection to "Argentina" and my grandfather served in Korea. We all pay our taxes and it makes me mad when people come here illegaly and I get associated with them. YES they do get federal aid, because they come over and have children, then the kids get US status and here comes the food stamps and WIC. Not to mention a majority don't even pay income taxes.
I get my food from an organic farm I own, I don't stay at hotels, and I eat very little meat (that I grow or hunt) plus all of these jobs were just taken away from hard working legal Americans. Why is there 9.7% unemployment? Could it be that a certain percentage of those jobs are being taken by illegal immigrants? And don’t say that those are jobs that Americans won’t do because people are getting their homes taken away, and I’m sure many of them would do a lot of things to keep their children from being homeless.

Well delia people will always play on the emotions of others with race. I identified my race only as to not be brandished as a racist. So many times politicians have us running around questioning why this race has this or this race gets special treatment. All the while no one is really asking why can't we all have better for ourselves. It’s the constant circle of special treatment and double standards that pit us against each other.
To say that a multicultural society can't exist is a lie, but there are many problems like race motivated gangs that make this kind of society hard to maintain. Race often entails customs, religion, and social norms. It’s like the conflict of immigrants doing things that in their home countries are legal, ie female circumcision, spousal abuse and child branding. However in this country founded by white people these things are illegal. Now are the government officials being intolerant and racist for not allowing this to occur because of their own social bias? So I think race issues are a lot more complex than skin deep things. People have issues with letting some cultural things go to better assimilate into their new environment (language), but they need to as to function in society. Do I personally think that race oriented groups are necessary or good for society, no. Yet they exist, I am just trying to ease resentment by saying hey if this race can create an organization without fear of being called a racist then why can't another group do the same.
My views on illegal immigration may be unpopular with some, but the law is the law and as it stands undocumented immigration is illegal. I would be fine with people if they just did things the legal way and paid their taxes (not just sales tax) like everyone else. Being paid under the table and lower than minimum wage destroys the competitiveness of the standard American worker. Why should I hire this guy for $7.50 when I can pay this guy $5.75 an hour to do the same job.

"I identified my race only as to not be brandished as a racist." Can't you be a racist no matter what your race is? Not you specifically, I mean in general.
What you consider "double standards" and "special treatment" were born out of the racism in America. It is deeply embedded into our country's history, which is ripe with slavery and discrimination against minority groups. Racial groups had to organize to literally push for equality and representation, and minority groups are STILL fighting for equal rights in America today. The reason that a "pro-white" group doesn't make sense isn't because it's "racist", it's because white people don't need help being represented or equal. White people built America around themselves and didn't even consider non-whites as human for a long time. The effects of that accepted and widespread mentality are still felt in America today, hence these racial/minority groups are still in existence.
As far as cultural assimilation, I think a balance needs to be struck. If your culture says you celebrate different holidays than the majority, no big deal. If your culture says women are worth less than men, BIG DEAL.
When it comes to illegal immigrants, I think businesses who hire them are the ones who should be held accountable. If I lived in third world conditions and I could flee to a country where I could make money and support my family, I'd do it too, even if it was with questionable legality. Americans who perpetuate this behavior by hiring illegal immigrants should be held responsible for their actions.
