Tree Nation plants over 70,000 trees this year

I am so pleased to share this news here. I have been a member of Tree Nation for over two years and have watched the progress they have made towards their goal of planting 8 million trees in Niger in the shape of a heart. A petition I had placed on their site for people to sign to pledge to become climate messengers managed to get over twenty trees planted just on signatures from all over the world. That may not sound like much to some, but it is to those who live in Niger in extreme poverty, hunger, and environmental degradation. These trees will bring back life. This site and their endeavor prove that people committed to a cause can do great things.

You can read the report and see some pictures at the link.
