Snake with a single foot found in China

A snake with a foot (it's not a dismembered leg, they checked) has been discovered in China.

The anomalous creature was discovered by 68-year-old Dean Qiongxiu, who said she spotted it crawling up her bedroom wall by its talon in the middle of the night, before beating it to death with a shoe out of fear.

She preserved its body in a bottle of alcohol and it's now being poked and probed at the Life Sciences Department at China's West Normal University in Nanchang.

Snake expert Long Shuai said: "It is truly shocking but we won't know the cause until we've conducted an autopsy."
