A Belleville West High School student was beaten aboard a bus on the way to school Monday, and a police spokesman said the beating could be racially motivated.
The 17-year-old victim was white and the teen assailants were black. Police released a video of the beating, which shows the victim being punched repeatedly while other students on the bus gather to watch, some cheering. It doesn't appear that the victim did anything to provoke an attack and tried only to defend himself. Police said it all unfolded in a five-minute span.
The victim was trying to find a seat and was told by two students he could not sit next to them, police said. When he did sit down, one teen tried to push him out of his seat then began grabbing the victim's neck and punching him in the face.
The victim eventually returned to his seat, but another student began taunting him a few minutes later. The victim was then struck in the face.
"In my estimation, it's racially motivated," said Capt. Don Sax of the Belleville Police Department. He said one reason he had formed this opinion was that many of the students, most of whom were black, yelled their support for the beating.
"There was absolutely no justification for the beating either time," Sax said.
Two teens were taken into custody; authorities will apply for charges today. Both students have been suspended, said Superintendent Greg Moats.
He also said there had been no racial problems at the school and said that he wanted to talk further with police to determine why they believe race could have been a motivator in the fight. He also said the school will do everything possible to make sure students are safe, but he wouldn't elaborate.

Something similar to this shit happened to me when I was in Jr High. There were NO open seats on the bus, and at the time I was a mousey little white girl, pretty much afraid of everything in the world. I tripped and fell into a seat, people shoving past me, and the black girl in the seat said "Nuh uh, you can't sit here!!!" and shoved me into the isle. I fucking swear, this bullshit attitude that most black people in this area have is fucking retarded. They need to pull their head out of their god damn ass.

anonymous154, since when did middle school age children have a sense of ''deep-seated racism''. Like i said in my first post with this story, the bus is 3/4 African American children with a handful of whites/latinos in the mix as well. Just because it was black kids beating up on the smaller white kid doesn't mean its a racist attack or a hate crime, i guarantee you if there was more white boys in the back of the bus they would have been standing up yelling/cheering the kid throwing the punches on too.
The only thing that i dislike is the double standard the media gives these types of incidents. As far as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson go, they just look for their 15minutes of fame in these types of cases and most people don't take them seriously anyway. (I sure as hell don't).
It's pretty sad how much hatred is left in the United States even today, granted its not white vs black, but its just pure hate that spews out of peoples minds and body's every day.

The "double standard media" you talk about is very interesting.
Of course you realize that this is the same media which will never tell you the truth about what is really going on in this world. They will NEVER DARE report to you about the horrors which occur EVERY DAY.
For example, how many of these have you heard or read or saw in the last few days on NBC or CBS or ABC or CNN?
So you think the media only wants to report hate??
Are you kidding? Why did they NOT report these??? Do you know how many interviews with Mr. Obama and his staff, these "news" stations would lose, if they dared to report about the constant, daily murders and rapes done by Islamic terrorists??!!!2009.09.16 (Bagur, Egypt) - A 63-year-old Christian is stabbed to death by a rampaging Muslim crowd.
2009.09.16 (Tungawan, Philippines) - Moro Islamists murder three people by throwing a grenade into a village.
2009.09.17 (Peshawar, Pakistan) - Two members of a family are kidnapped and tortured to death by Sunni hardliners.
2009.09.17 (Pattani, Thailand) - A Buddhist laborer is among three civilians shot to death by Islamic terrorists in separate attacks.2009.09.17 (Mogadishu, Somalia) - A dozen African peacekeepers including three Christians and other civilians, are killed in a devastating suicide truck bomb attack by angry fundamentalists.
2009.09.17 (Kabul, Afghanistan) - Civilians and soldiers are among the dead as a Shahid suicide bomber detonates along a city street.
2009.09.19 (Mosul, Iraq) - An 11-year-old boy dies from injuries following a Jihad bombing.
2009.09.19 (Herat, Afghanistan) - Two children, ages 7 and 10, are blasted to death by a female suicide bomber.
2009.09.19 (Zubair, Iraq) - Two members of a religious minority are murdered by Muslim gunmen.
2009.09.19 (Helmand, Afghanistan) - A Danish soldier is killed by a sniper while on patrol.
2009.09.19 (Malakand, Pakistan) - Five people are riddled with bullets when Talibanis open point blank on a passenger vehicle.
2009.09.20 (Gazi-Yurt, Ingushetia) - Two local police are gunned down by Islamic militants.
You have just now read about murders done by people who live to hate and spill blood. These fools actually think that god is putting them into a sex heaven to pay them back for the murders they committed. Intelligent people, right?
Where is your outrage about the slaughtered victims???!!!! You are tooooo hung up on the school bus report to see what is really happening in this world. - 2 years ago

I don't care what anyone says, in my mind, with what I'm viewing, this is absolutely a racial attack. Even if "gettin' whitey" wasn't (and who's to know if it wasn't) foremost on these two savages minds, the entire atmosphere on the bus and the attitude of the attackers and alot of the people on the bus conveys an ugly attitude of virulent deep-seated racism.
One thing that is slightly relieving is the reaction of several students towards the front of the bus. You can see that the reaction of one young lady in particular is that of genuine shock and disbelief.

Your point about black slave owners is about as relevant as referencing Amin and Mugabe...do two wrongs suddenly make a right? I don't think so. And while we can agree that some whites do live below the poverty level and there are some below average schools in predominately white districts...these are also exceptions to the rule and a simple look at national averages in income, education and opportunity will show that the playing field is FAR from level. It's the reverse of your Oprah/Will Smith argument...and it's equally ineffective and misleading.
Where you and I can agree is that regarding African Americans as victims is not the answer and will do more harm than good. However, recognizing inequality and working to correct it is not and should not be viewed as fostering the image of African Americans as victims. Addressing inequality should go hand in hand with personal responsibility. This is something I think Obama has been very effective at, particularly in African American communities, but also to the American population as a whole. His speech to the schools last week is an excellent example of this.

There are plenty of poor white communities with low income levels and poor education statistics all over the US and Europe. The playing field is level.....it's just some people make it and others don't. It's all a question of choice and grabbing the equal opportunities available to all. Enough of this victim consciousness.
Oh and by the way, blacks used fellow blacks as slaves in Africa ( and still do!) before the white man turned up and got the idea from them.

'''You can't subjugate a race and then expect them to "play nice" when the chains come off''.
Oh yes I can.
The highest paid actor in the world is black. The highest paid woman is black. The mosat powerful man in the world is black.
The chains came off years ago....time to move on. Otherwise we're talking victimology and self pity as an art form.
It's not just whites with a history of colonialism and brutality. You're ignoring the reality of black supremacism and arrogance. You're ignoring the horrors perpetrated in Africa black on black....Amin, Bokassa, Mugabe and other psychos brutalising their own people and the whites. And these men were never slaves. And let's not forget the black on black genocide in Rwanda.
It's all a question of balance and getting away from sacralising one group to demonise another. Human beings can be hateful and violent...and that includes blacks.
Another taboo issue is the subject of black antisemitism, which is endemic to the community. How about dealing with that? - 2 years ago

All your examples are individuals (highest paid actor, woman and most powerful man). These are exceptions to a very sad rule that still exists today. Take a trip to a predominantly African American school and tell me the playing field is level? Take a look at average income levels or higher education statistics. Not all African Americans are Oprah and Will Smith. So maybe when things are a little more equitable then you can suggest "moving on". As for your examples of black leaders who have brutalized people...what's your point? Of course some blacks can be hateful and violent...who has ever suggested otherwise? But you can't compare all African Americans to Amin or Mugabe any more than you can compare all whites to Hitler or Stalin.

Yes, let us lead by example! Two of my posts have been removed because I spoke the truth. I called one gentleman a , "pompous know it all", which could be true, or not. Yet current chose to delete my entire comment based on a relatively innocent comment compared to the profanity/insults commonly displayed and accepted on this site! At least now the liberals have shown their true colors to be brown shirts! This student was a victim of an attack based on ignorance, race, bullyism, or any excuse that fits your complexion. However, the fact remains that this boy was brutally beaten while a bus load of the gutless supporters cheered his attack. You must be very proud of the progress made by Democratic policies. This attack is repeated many times in America by both juveniles and adults and is disguised as robbery, rape, or burgularly, while the true intent is black rage, supported by many respected organizations, manifested on white victims, as a form of payback for slavery, thus allowing criminals to justify any actions against white victims. The % of white on black crime is so small that it is even ridiculous to consider. Yet you liberals will support and excuse a race based crime, claiming it to be a mere aberration caused by the poor direction given to minority children from their parents or lack or parent. The truth is buried in a culture, not willing to hold young men responsible for their behavior.
I am a minority living in a black dominated society, so I am well aware that racism is a two way street, and no one is exempted from the "stain" of racism. The arrogance and presumed knowledge of racial relations displayed from some of the comments posted here is beyond belief, especially offensive as I, a white man living and running a business in Africa, where prejudice against white owned businesses is proscribed into law. Pack that fact into your liberal pipes and smoke it all day! - 2 years ago

More rhetoric, no facts, from the grandstands. Am I here to solve a problem for someone else? Stand up and solve the problem on your own, which has clearly been a failure. Shall I be forced to mollycoddle criminals to meet a feeble liberal idea of justice. I have no guilt and I am perfectly willing to analyze facts and come to a conclusion without the interference of some notion of retroactive guilt. You have yet to address any issues, while tossing out comments with no basis in fact. You tell me? What is the solution for the problem plaguing the World and the U.S. regarding race relations. Why are black American juveniles and adult males committing crimes at rates much higher than other races in America? Please spare me the worn out concept of them being arrested more often. They are arrested more often because they are committing the crimes more often, Duh!

If in fact that is remotely true the logical reason would be because decades of not being able to participate on a level field has come to roost. You can't subjugate a race and then expect them to "play nice" when the chains come off.
To answer your question, the answer is to get people to admit their cultural biases, their bigotry and hate and then help them find why it exist in the first place. In understanding why they hate there is a chance the hate will subside.
Now don't get it twisted, there are some hardcore haters that will refuse to take part and will most likely do whatever that can to derail the process. But, in the process their children, friends and family may see the futility of their actions and the tide will eventually turn, even if those that will not relent drowned in the process.

The video shows someone being attacked physically and people have a problem with that.
Attack someone, like people are doing on here with post, with words and you're considered heroic? More like a bully.
showing no difference between the boy that punched another in the face continuous to the crass and uncalled for attacks on certain people who stated this was racism
The only difference between physical and mental abuse is that mental abuse is far worse....showing that words used in the wrong manner are far more damaging than someone actually hitting someone else as hard as they can.
I am not innocent. I am, however, not someone that viciously attacks anyone and you can never find that in any of my post EVER.
It is a sad state of affairs that people think it's ok to revert back to being a freshmen in high school to prove points. Instead of speaking about the incident they rather shred the person.

So GET IN LINE, Obama, you are going to have to go around the devices installed by the LAST President who wanted to see how often I visited the Victoria's Secret web site...(purely for the purposes of scientific research, of course)...

Anything you write here on CURRENT and other sites, will probably be monitored by our dear government courtesy of the Obama administration.
Yes, here follows a news article that hardly anyone heard or read because it was quickly hushed and ignored by the main media. Exactly like those same TV stations ABC and CBS and NBC ignored the Saturday march, and the way they ignored the 83 to 7 vote to stop funding ACORN.
Yes, my fellow Current bloggers, your words here are probably going to be inspected.
Please read the following and then, feel free to look up and find this topic so you can see if this is really the truth. I thought it was a joke. It ain't, boys and girls.
Now, just in case my fellow citizens do not read my comment on this particular topic, I am going to post this a few times in response to other subjects we decide to write about here.
Here now follows what I saw and copied from the NATIONAL LEGAL and POLICY CENTER. They published the following sobering and threatening declaration..."NLPC has uncovered a plan by the White House New Media operation to hire a technology vendor to conduct a massive, secret effort to harvest personal information on millions of Americans from social networking websites.
The information to be captured includes comments, tag lines, emails, audio, and video. The targeted sites include Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, YouTube, Flickr and many others, – any space where the White House “maintains a presence.”
In the course of investigating procurement by the White House New Media office, NLPC discovered a 51-page solicitation of bids that was filed on Friday, August 21, 2009. Filed as Solicitation # WHO-S-09-0003, it is posted at FedBizzOps.com."

---------------------------------
A student on a Belleville West High School bus was beaten for his choice of seat, not because he was white, according to a witness and police.
"The incident appears now to be more about a couple of bullies on a bus dictating where people sit," said Belleville Police Capt. Don Sax, who originally said Monday's attack may have been racially motivated.
D'Vante Lott, 16, said he was on the bus and witnessed the attack by the two black students.
The victim walked onto the bus, looking for an open seat, but students kept turning him down, as D'Vante said happened often with this student.
But Monday, the victim apparently tired of asking for a seat, D'Vante said, moved one student's book-bag off a seat, and just sat down.
The student next to him then started hitting the victim for moving his bag, D'Vante said.
But the second assailant was just trying to act tough, D'Vante said. "The second guy hit him because he wanted to hit him," he said.
D'Vante didn't think the attacks were racially motivated.
"Nobody even knows the kid," D'Vante said. "He's a quiet dude."
"They usually let him sit down," he continued.
Meanwhile, D'Vante said, the bus driver did little. "He kept driving. All he said was 'Sit Down.'"
Later, D'Vante said, the victim tried to take a picture of his face with a phone, but he couldn't get a good picture, so he asked someone else to do it for him.
The school suspended the two attackers for 10 days today, pending an expulsion hearing, and suspended three bystanders, including D'Vante, for five days for laughing at the incident, D'Vante and his mother said the principal told them.
D'Vante's mother, Shenico Greer, was very upset outside Belleville West this afternoon, as she picked up her son.
"He was not in the fight!" Greer said.
"Everybody on that bus, mostly, was laughing and standing up," she said.
She said her son even helped the victim after the attacks, picking up his glasses and asking him if he was OK.
Greer also didn't think the attack was racially motivated.
"There are other white children who sit with black children," she said.
Meanwhile, school and police officials met Tuesday afternoon. Police spokesman Sax said he did not know what came of the meeting.
Police had not this afternoon presented charges for prosecution to the state's attorney's office, Sax said.
Still, several white parents and students said Tuesday afternoon that they felt the incident had to have been racially motivated, and that the school has been struggling with racial tension.
--------------------------------
What kind of mother says, "Well all were laughing." UH...no. If you son was helpful then that is the ONLY thing your comment should have focused on. justifying laughter via all isn't a defense...unless you're defending your child's stupidity.
It's stated here that it's not racially motivated. There's more ammo to back up the lacking side that stated that it was not racially motivated.
However, the article points out that the boy was silent and normally he was and they let him sit down anywhere but this he wanted to beat him up? It doesn't make much sense.
I hope the parents of the "silent" child press charges....
LOOKS like I'm far better at defending the moral right of it NOT being a racist thing more so than those that said it didn't to begin with.
You're welcome.

I have so resisted responding to this post because of the gob smacking, incredibly unconscionable stupidity of some that blessed us with their contributions. It seems like trying to bring reason and decorum to this discussion would be tantamount to pissing on a forest fire. Though some have made valiant courageous attempts it is most difficult to counteract vociferous unfettered bigotry at its best.
Taking what is a school yard fight on a bus and turning it to the plight and inevitable demise of the white race was quite the feat. No one has any idea what was said prior to the first punch. No one has a clue what occurred earlier in the day or the history of those involved. Yet, there are those that are sure they know the intent and future of the assailants and innocence of the alleged victim - most impressive.
All that is known for sure is there was an altercation, a fight between kids on a school bus. For some this was all they needed to vent feigned outrage and latent racism at the loss of the world as they knew it. Where there are cases of racially motivated attacks there is a very good chance this isn't one of them. Unfortunately the true motivation of the fight is almost secondary at this point. The incident has made clear the continuing problem we face as a people.
Read through some of these replies, keeping in mind ALL WE KNOW for sure is there was a fight between children and ask what was the true motivation. Look at what you wrote personally and ask, "what was I thinking?" If you have a problem with people based on their race speak it plain and face your issues head on. This isn't the responsibility of leadership, the government or the President. This is a personal matter, why the hatred? Why do you feel the way you do and what can constructively (operative word) be done to get along a little better?

Thanks, E and K, for bringing in a couple of additional salient points and perspectives. I didn't think anything COULD be added to this discussion by this point.
I, too, am baffled by the degree to which one of the positions in this "debate" seems to feel that they have a personal stake in the dermination of whether this attack was racially motivated or not. But "bafflement" and I appear to be becoming close friends. I decided to participate on Current back in January in the hope that I would further "broaden my horizons" and learn a few interesting and useful things. One of the things I have learned that was completely unexpected was how deeply entrenched people can be in views that are completely unsupported by logic, reason or even just rational explanation. Those same people are therefore seldom open to persuasion by anyone using those same tools.
That has not been the most pleasant learning experience of my life -- but it HAS been useful. I now find myself reading through client lists or lists of prospective jurors and the like and recoginizing the "type."
I am afraid I have not come up with any brilliant insights on how to "deal" with them other than what I would refer to as "benign neglect." Basically, I ignore them unless I feel their words or actions constitute a danger to themselves or others -- in which case I try to take whatever action I can that is most likely to be effective while least likely to prolong my contact with that individual. That is the proverbial "time you never get back." I don't want to lie on my deathbed and wonder why in the heck I spent 200 hours of my life attempting to persuade people who I knew going in were incapable of following a reasoned argument to its logical (and sometimes inevitable) conclusions -- nor would they have any INTEREST in doing so even if they WERE capable.
I don't know if that observation is of any value to the two of you, but I find that it helps me to quickly disengage from interactions that I know going in would be time wasters.
Thanks again!

Good point cztheday.
I agree that there are many people on this site who are either incapable or unwilling to see any other point of view. As easy as it is to poke holes in their weak and often factually incorrect posts, it does become a time suck. For me, it's less about trying to convince them that they are wrong, their egos prevent that, but rather exposing their failed arguments to the other people reading the thread. That and frustrating them...I'll admit that watching these hacks get tied up in knots does have certain entertainment value.
I enjoy reading your posts cztheday...keep up the good work.

I'll admit that poking holes in other people's theories is fun, however it's gets to be extremely frustrating. I suppose I should get out of the mentality of convincing people to think differently, because some people just have it stuck in their mentality that they and only they are correct in everything.
I found it easier to ignore these people or limit discussion because I have better things to do than debate semantics and ethics with a person who doesn't have a logical leg to stand on.
I have sincere hopes that people with the aforementioned mentality find breeding difficult because "their partner isn't doing the correct position".

And you're different on that front how?
Don't condemn people for what you yourself do...sir.
I don't state that people shouldn't insult me, do I? I also don't tattle that someone has called me a troll. I did it one time to see if their post would be removed and I don't believe it was...so that was that on that one. But 99% of the time I don't bother reporting any insults to me because I do my fair share.
I don't state that people shouldn't argue with me or tell me I'm wrong.
I do state that people should understand what is going on with what someone else is stating because I DO put forth the effort to do that and I will not be told otherwise because that would be a lie.
As an example I will provide what I see as the argument for the opposite side in this thread:
Certain people want to know the conversation that transpired before the black boy punched the white boy repeatedly in the face. Maybe something was said to provoke the attack. And maybe what was said would clear up that this was not about race and some insult that would be about his clothing....or something that would not fall under race. Maybe the white boy was rude about sitting down in that seat calling him a derogatory name. Whatever it was the blame shifts the unwarranted attacker to what was said prior to the attack...seeing how the attack started a few seconds after he got on the bus what could be said that would provoke such anger would probably make the black boy more stupid than he is just for hitting the white boy over and over and over again in the face. But that is one argument.
The other one is that there is no clear evidence that suggest the attack was about race. According to many it's a boy fight, even though there was no fight it was just a beat down.
It is as if the roles have been reversed and those that use the race card for attacks on black children or the black community in general refuse to think that black people (even the children) can do the same.
The race tension is a problem because liberals have attached such attacks to any disagreement with Obama. They have no backing for that other than seeing it as an attack on a black man. So simple an accusation as YOU LIE has gave the floor to the biggest idiot of the week (Carter) to state that it was made because the Senator is racist. What backing does he have for that accusation? None. Just like liberals have none to state that about many disaggrements with Obama.
Then comes this incident and mainly conservatives are stating that it's a racist attack and it's now the liberals on the defensive against their own logic that they use against conservatives for Obama stating that it's not a racist attack. What is offered to back them?
We just feel that this isn't it, on top of not having adequate evidence to show it is.
And what evidence is needed?
Oh we just know it isn't a racist attack. It doesn't matter that the black boy punched the white boy in the face over and over again like he was some sort of punching bag and it doesn't matter that he bragged about it latter....what matters is I feel it's not racist.
Is that all you have to offer?
Yes.
That is what the other side has to offer. Feelings...the same feelings that they denounce others to have themselves.

Apparently JJ had trouble grasping the "operative word" - CONSTRUCTIVE. That would tend to follow since most of his argument is usually destructive. The fun part is watching him break his back twisting his himself into a pretzel to oppose every cogent argument he comes across.
Just because you don't get a punch off doesn't mean you weren't in a fight my friend. It just means fighting isn't your forte, to put it kindly. Why take a superfluous aspect of the incident to base your argument on? More importantly why the need to point out "black boy" and "white boy"? That seems to be the key for those that foster the problem instead of supporting a solution.
I made an altruistic effort not to point out any one comment or commenter personally to foster a constructive debate on what can be done to eloquently settle the tensions. I must also admit a more sinister underlying reasoning as well. I knew some of the most egregious offenders (the bigger parts of the problem) couldn't resist finding a way to wax stupid and I wasn't disappointed in either case.
My favorite assertion was racism being caused by liberals defending the President. I'm pretty sure racism was caused by one race enslaving, oppressing &/or attempting to eliminate others. I think the irrational fear of the tables being turned (turnabout is fair play, karma) drives most of the hatred and illogical responses. In any case that is way too much to read in to a simple school boy fight.
Instead of straining for ways to show this was a horrible racist attack try looking for why it is so important for some to prove that was the case. What you seek isn't coming from a speech, police action or political movement. It will come from a mirror, if you are so inclined.

You chastised someone for being childish and calling names after using the word retarded in one of your retorts.
You aren't interested in being introspective so much as argumentative. It's more important for you to believe you're right or problems are caused by people that do not agree with you than to consider you might actually be adding to the problem instead of the solution. While you sit there and ignore her words, I will tell you I never stated it did not include me.But to clarify so you're not in the dark ages wasting your brain power talking about me, constantly, I found that because someone else mentioned it in another thread. I thought it was a great thing she said, because I think she's a smart woman even though I might not like her in totality denying how smart she is would be asinine. She is not only smart she is tough and she is willing to be in the political realm where she constantly gets beaten down and rarely gets the praise that everyone wishes to have...the appreciation for her hard work.
I agree with the quote for EVERYONE including myself. I do not exclude myself and it's rather obnoxious and rude of you to suggest otherwise.

I think Obama has a lot of pull to make things a little better.
I think he should make a public meeting with the boys and girl that did this and tell them that they are very disappointing and he hopes that their act isn't one that others find heroic or necessary in daily life.
And as much as people think that this was not racially motivated...there is no proof to oppose it. I THINK isn't good enough.
And if Obama, a black man no matter if he's half, speaking to these children in this manner will have an impact and they will think about what they did instead of THINK that they were cool for doing it and justified for doing it.....because no punishment from the school will have them think they were wrong. Obama telling them that what they did was not ok will speak directly to their heart even if one cannot see it. A man known as the first black President of the United States has an ability to say such to these kids and make an impact.
Bush, Clinton or anyone else wouldn't have the pull. They don't even have the pull with white children. It's not the same.
This would make that change he wants happen in three people. They'll want to alter that mindset of being disappointing. They'll want to be better and since they are not getting that training from home, apparently, then why not get it from somewhere most respected.
He's already shown via his comments about Mr. West that he has strong views on respect and that his views are just as crass as anyone else's when it comes to disrespecting someone when they have done nothing to deserve it.
He's already gain massive points for that off the hand comment....it did make him far more likable.
He really needs to do what he said he wants to and that is listen to what is going on in America and help. This is a small situation that he could help.
I wish I could suggest this to him. Make a negative into a positive and the only person that can do that...at this time...is him.

Where is the eyes?
You cannot justify the attack any other way than it was because he was white.
If you do you have to explain the excessive force that was used.
Might as well state that Mr. King was not beaten because of race but because he did what the police told them not to.
Because that is in fact what happened. He was told not to sit there. He sat there and he got beat up. He was told by the bag being in the way.
It's a stretch...isn't it? It's offensive that one would take a single incident that a man endured via total brutality by cops and compare it to what this black boy did to the white boy?
It's far too similar in act than it is in results.
The act is someone didn't do what they wanted they beat him down because he was black.
the other is a boy sat where he was not allowed and he was beaten because of it...and the black boy was egged on by other members who were not white to continue the beating.
If Taylor Swift was (so happened to be not possible...but if it were) 50 Cent winning the award that he and Beyonce would be in the same category for...would Kayne West have done what he did? No. Because it's far easier to stomp on a white girl than it is anyone who is black and especially no because 50 Cent would pop him in the face.
You socially pick who you can get away with beating up. It was acceptable, on that bus, for him to beat the white boy because the white boy was in the minority via race and no one stopped him or told him to quit or call 911 or anything like that. They all watched because it was socially acceptable.
The problem will persist if you don't see it.

Refusal to commit to something in order to always leave the door open to change your mind, is a liberal approach which shows indecision and fence sitting.
By constantly trying to stay "neutral," they actually make decisions based on confusion.
The school officials gave "punishments" which are weak and inappropriate.
Basically, I think the higher ups in that board of education, told the principal what to do about it. Fear of reprisal and of losing a job, were the key elements in the school officials' decisions.
Afraid to lose their jobs, they decided to give a light punishment.
If a black on the bus had been attacked by screaming and wild whites, the punishment would have been much more severe. - 2 years ago

I'm sick and tired of the sacralisation of Black victimhood. It is the main reason for the savage rage evident in these Black kids in the videos. It is a blind fury for nothing. They are indoctrinated and wound up by their parents, by an unwholesome self pity in the Black community that is anachronistic and self indulgent, by hip hop and rap brutalism and by guilty liberal left self haters. Black supremacism......and also Black antisemitism..... is an unacknowledged evil in US society. Notice how the media ignores the hate preached by Reverend Wright and Louis Farrakhan...a hate that is totally unacceptable in a civilised society and way beyond what is allowed by the First Amendment.

"Bielski", this is not just a U.S. problem. In Nigeria the politicians (gangsters) are raping the country and blaming British Colonization, 60 years ago, for the failure of Nigeria to implement a democratic system free of theft, thuggery, and monumental greed and stupidity! One of the biggest oil producers in the World still blames their problems on "white people"! Of course, if not for us, they would be forced to find another scapegoat to blame. When the U.K. or U.S. attempts to prosecute Nigerian politicians for "money laundering", their friends in gov't. immediately close ranks, claiming sovereignity, racism, and "rule of law". This mentality has been imported into America and has infected several generations of both black and white Americans. To the point that our Nation's ideals are compromised by criminals. This may seem off topic. But it directly addresses the apologist mentality of guilty whites and the institutionalised racism of the black politicians and liberal community in general.

Yawn. You can post 10 million examples if you like. When they get to court each one stands on its own. Sometimes an attack by a person of one race on another is pure racial hatred. Sometimes all the attacker cares about is money and doesn't care wither the victim is black, white or purple so long as they hand over the green. And sometimes the attacker is just a total nutjob and as far as he is concerned he is "repelling the Martian invasion." The only way we will know whether THIS attack was racially motivated is if we see more evidence than is present in the article thus far. How is that even controversial?

It just happens that the black criminals chose a white victim, by chance??? Anyone commenting here, that cannot accept that there is a problem in America is in complete denial.
