@JohnA
You are either A) lying through your teeth, or B) regurgitating lies that someone or some organization told you
You will never find an admission that Obama was at that sermon in question because he was in Miami at the time.
I would venture to say that Obama could have viewed the video of the sermon within those four days you mention in order to address the issue in his speech.
No matter how much you want to project Rev. Wright's opinions as Obama's you cannot logically make that connection. You don't have to agree with everyone in your life on every issue. I don't disavow my grandparent becasue they occassionally make off-color racial comments. But that does not mean that I agree with them either.
Judge Obama by Obama's words and actions, not his former pastor's or anyone else's for that matter.

The New York Times ignored Mark Levin breaking the one-million-copy-sold barrier. They ignored ACORN. They have continued to ignore the lies in Obamacare. So there you have it: There is a God. Our national hemorrhoid is on is on display and has his greatest work being recommended by Osama Bin Laden. What does that say?

Jimmy Carter is the nation's hemorrhoid, and we don't have a tube of Prep H big enough to deal with it. He's an anti-Semite -- anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian Jimmy Carter. The national hemorrhoid. But wait, there is more to this story. There was not one piece of book news yesterday. There were two. Osama Bin Laden recommended Jimmy Carter's book. And my friend Mark Levin's book Liberty and Tyranny hit the one million-seller list. It has yet to be reviewed by the New York Times or the Washington Post or TIME Magazine or Newsweek or any of that. Which story here do you think made the news pages of the New York Times? If you have to guess, shame on you. The New York Times featured Osama Bin Laden and his book recommendations -- one of which, again I remind you, was Jimmy Carter's.

When I think Jimmy Carter, I think of mediocrity -- and when I think of what that mediocrity did to this nation through his ineptitude and his utterly manic incompetence driven by a juvenile paranoia, driven by anti-Semitism.
His betrayal and conniving against our own country's interests in pursuing a Nobel Peace Prize is the hallmark of Jimmy Carter's post-presidency -- and for him to inject himself in this Wilson matter is beyond the pale. And to fan the racist flame is, to me, a mortal sin. And the president of the United States needs to get out there and stop it. He's the only one who can. He was elected on the premise that he was going to stop it. What about the racism against Clarence Thomas? What about the racism against any black who was a conservative and dares to seek high office? How about Pelosi calling half the American people Nazis? Is that still on the okay list? So I don't care, folks. I don't care. I don't care if Obama's from Mars. I don't care where he's born. I don't care about any of that. I care about what his intentions are toward this country -- and I'm not going to be silenced by any of these baseless accusations, 'cause now it's getting to be a joke if it weren't so serious.

But he needs to stand up and make a speech and he needs to say, "We are going to heal these racial divisions." If he were the real deal, folks, he would do this speech telling the American people and the media and everybody to knock this racial stuff off, that he can handle the criticism. He was supposed to be the end of all this. And instead what we have now is his party pushing the notion that all the opposition to Obama is rooted in racism. I mean how far have we come, how Orwellian the establishment has become, any criticism of Obama's political agenda is pronounced blatant racism. But a school bus full of black kids beating up a solitary white kid couldn't possibly be racism. How Orwellian has all this gotten? Then we add Jimmy Carter, the anti-Semite to the mix, and I've also got some transcripts of Jimmy Carter running campaign commercials in 1970 running for governor of Georgia.

The president of the United States is sitting here and promoting this division. He is encouraging it. He has people in the White House, "Ah, we don't think it's so much race and so forth." But he could put a stop to this and should. If Barack Obama wants to be the president that he told everybody was going to be during the campaign, he needs to schedule a speech -- not five appearances on Sunday shows and Letterman -- he needs to schedule a speech to say, "Stop this stuff. This is not productive. This is not helping America. This is dividing America." He needs to say, "I know that there's criticism of me, and I know there's opposition to me. There has been criticism of every president. There's been opposition to every president." But I guess all of a sudden now we're not allowed to do that anymore. We can't criticize Obama. We can't do that because it's all racist.

Well in the South Whites are still beating up on Blacks, and its usually adults but they are cheering.
This may go on with both groups and this scene is being played to keep the confederateRW from thinking about really important issues like their insurance premiums, and being able to have a future for their kids.
Leave it to Rush to try to keep the real issues away from the RW core, who might start thinking about what is being done to them by their free trading party.

Ah! how lovely of Mr. Limbaugh to keep perpetuating fear through his political agenda in support of his backers & even finding a way to connect it with the president. Rush can probably relate, when I was in school the fat kids used to know Hell most of the time...even from the gym teachers. As a matter of fact now that I am thinking about it, when I was in boot camp the fat guys were the D.I.'s favorite targets. I remember one of them calling one fat kid a blivet..and he asked the kid if he knew what a blivet was...the kids says "no" and the DI explained that it is 10 pounds of shit in a 3 pound bag....pretty good description of Rush... come to think of it. none of this about this story is about race except

The reality is that this fight Could have been racially motivated. If that's the case, then the school should take action, remove the aggressor, and take steps to ensure that the white student feels he is able to learn in a safe environment, just like they should if the tables were turned. Obama has nothing to do with it.
This country has and will continue to deal with racial strife, just as they have and will continue dealing with economic disparities and its ensuing anger, violence, drug use and ignorance that cripples all races as long as inequalities exist and people are marginalized. I work in predominantly white, poor schools and the same type of behavior takes place. It does in all environments where people feel powerless.
Often, Rush and conservatives seem to imply that now that Obama is President, "the blacks" have Obama on speed dial, the NAACP hidden in our basements and the race card in our back pockets. (No one gave me mine!). I guess this kid said, "Now that Obama is President, I can beat up this white boy!" No, Rush. Obama's election has provided another (because there are already several) concrete, visual example to young African-American males that education truly can elevate your circumstances. It has not emboldened people to start fistfights...that has been going on for forever.

Most GOP fund-raisers and speeches play on the fear some white Americans have of African Americans and Hispanic Americans.
A typical speech runs something like this:
“We need to reform welfare! I don’t know about you….but I’m sick and tired of my hard earned money going to pay for people too lazy to work! You know how those people are (wink, wink) Those people just sit around and listen to rap music all day! (wink, nudge) Those people (wink, wink) like to do cocaine all day while hard working whites, er, I mean, Americans go to a job every day! Why should we (wink, wink) have to have our paychecks stolen and given to those people (nudge, nudge) so they can commit crimes and steal from us (nudge, nudge)”
Subtle! But, yeah, we get it. You think blacks are lazy and do drugs all day while good Chritian whites work all day.
Always seems to win the South though.
Every time.
Gee....I wonder why those speeches works so well in the South but not in the North?

it works better in the south because they teach it to their kids as a matter of heritage. Being a southerner by family and a northerner by education, I have been taught racism, too, but have also have been taught science (a rarity down south, it being the mother of creationism), and I know that 'tolerance' is just another word for 'better than'. All I know is that we are all 99 % alike, and the differences we tote like holy grails are merely 1% of who we all really are. People in the south are not taught philosophies like this in school or evolutionary theories such as these in church. Not a slam, just the truth. I have been taught that I am better than those not like me, and I have been taught that the enlightened thing to do is 'tolerate' these differences like a friend's smelly house. But I have my own mind, and I chose against these ideas. Here's a newsflash for you racists: White (or insert your preffered choice of hated humans) people's homes smell sometimes, too.

Things are very different than how it was in Bush's America.
Back then it was only white kids beating up homosexuals and Muslims.
Ah, the good old days.
But seriously, that is a very, very deep-rooted fear white Republicans have. They are terrified of "negros" and "hispanics" stealing all their women and money.
One could make a compelling arguement that the entire Republican party platform consists of nothing but a crippling "white fear" of Negros and Hispanics.

so i take it that Rush is very upset and would like it to go back to the way he thinks it should be? would that it be white kids beating up blacks?
i understand the point that it may seem as though blacks beating on whites wont get as much coverage or punishment as white on black... but the key words in my statement is "it may seem as though"..
the fact of the matter is with this incident would be that the black kid doing the beating is a bully/ enjoys getting into fights. He beats on anyone and everyone he can; whether it be black, white, hispanic, etc. It was tragic to see the white being completely out numbered by black kids that were cheering on his beating, but the issues here attribute to little boys' egos and their efforts to prove their masculinity.. sorta like limbaugh beating his chest and calling for obama's head.. hehe

How can anyone with a shred of intelligence, decency, and credibility tie what happened on a school bus to the President of the United States? Does Rush have documentation or recorded audio of the President telling these black kids to beat up white kids?
He wants to make Obama out to be a racist. So does Glen Beck and seemingly several other conservative members of note. However, every time they go about this, they use misinformation, hearsay, and biased opinion. Which is why those people in question often get called racists.
Let's be real, though. This is not the first or last racist response Rush Limbaugh has made. He made them all the time before there was a black man in office. However, at no time when white kids were beating up black kids, threatening them with nooses or guns(i.e. Jena 6) did black people stand up and blame Bush for it. They blamed the PERSONS RESPONSIBLE.
These teens are responsible for the assault of that white kid, not the President.
I don't know why when a white person commits a hate crime, it's an "isolated incident" and white people get defensive/defend him or her saying "not all white people act like this/this person didn't do anything wrong because...".
However, when black people commit assault/offense against white people it's suddenly a "hate crime", "black people and their president are racists", and somehow all black people are lumped in with one jerk who apparently is the representation of a whole race.Double standards are great, aren't they?

Besides, that has nothing to do with what I said because the two are ISOLATED ENTITIES.

If the country doesn't come together to solve problems the blame will be on the Rush's, Hannity's and O'Reilly's not Obama. And they say this rhetoric isn't racially motivated.

Yes, who can argue with the loud mouth white guy who seems to know something about everything?
Good to see that lack of brains can't hurt you in your quest for notoriety.

Even though I disagree with him it is hard to argue with Rush on this one. He, if anyone, would know a racist when he saw one. He looks at one every morning in the mirror...

I guess the Jena Six thing in 2006 was Obama's America as well. We are now witnessing the first black on white violence in the history of America under Obama's watchful and approving eye.... idiot.

Obama didn't have any hesitations to comment on national TV about his Harvard professor friend who was arrested and then throw the police officer under the bus before he admittedly knew the facts. There is video evidence of this incident and Obama stays quiet. Why the silence this time around? Double standard? Is Rush speaking the truth and the Obamanites are struggling to accept it?

Obama did not make the Gates issue about race, YOU DID!
All he knew was that his Senior Citizen friend was arrested because he was trying to get into his own home. The cop could have been black and his comment would have been the same. I dare you to find a racially charged quote from Obama on the issue.

Kenny Motown...you rule! It is all for ratings.
How can such a big disgusting person be so rich and powerful? What is it in the people that listen to him? What is it that they crave. He's just a bufoon.
I guess though that he is representative of something far deeper. He is a DIVIDE AND CONQUER kind of a guy.
And the ratings keep climbing.
The vitriolic hatred on one side is so much more dangerous than the other side. What are they afraid of? Really. What is it they really fear?
Then I see them all hugging each other after they have downed one another. It's all about ratings and duping the people into becoming a tabloid nation. Distract to the point of getting away with anything and every thing. - 2 years ago
