You're right, Israel pulled some pretty fucked up shit during that flair up. You should also realize though that there were a lot of young people in Israel that spoke out against the violence that was happening. Perpetuating the one-sided rhetoric of either side is not going to bring about peace. People standing up to their governments and refusing to be pawns in their games will.

The lunar landing was well documented and so was the holocaust. An intelligent person saying they doubt something that is a documented part of history doesn't make sense unless they have some ulterior motive. Like hate.

i do not argue subjects and i will not now i will simply explain to you the reason for his method it was almost perfect to destroy a race of people .all of his writings point to his belief of any person who was not aparty to his beliefs(the nazi party) should be wiped out. killing via gas chamber was very much descrete because people like yourself wouldn't believe it and he could go on quietly killing and noone would stop him until ,in this case it was almost too late.if you were going to try to really succeed at taking over the world would you advertise it.very diabolical ,disgusting human if he even deserves that term.if you read your history you will find that hitler tried 3 times to come into power in germany and was even jailed once they thought he was a crack pot .he only achieved his power after ww1 when germany was destroyed and he could peddle his " vision of a better rebuilt germany" to a much tattered population.but he wanted to keep his white hat until he was sure he could pull off his genocide

People (Jews were many of them, but others considered undesirable were also rounded up) in concentration camps were given clothes, bedding, etc, and not all of them were killed in gas chambers. Some were killed in more horrific ways. Starved to death slowly, promised food if they performed labor, but not given as much in calories as they expended to get the food. That's why you see pictures of Holocaust survivors that look like walking skeletons. I had a survivor speak in one of my classes in college. One question I asked him is whether or not he still practiced Judaism. He told me that he lost his faith because of the Holocaust, because after seeing that happen he knew there could be no just God.

It's interesting that Holocaust denial is not considered hate speech by current. Go figure.

@ plusaf what claims have I made that you need "reliable sources" for? That the Iranian president did not deny the holocaust? That's already posted here in the comments. He made the speech the article is talking about in Iran to Iranians. Do you think this should not be reported in the western media?

hpseaton, did you say "Why should reporters quote people?" or did you mean something different? English, Arabic, Mandarin, etc are all subject to interpretation. If someone is going report responsibly don't you think they should provide a full quotation without any omissions?

Regarding your second point, he DID acknowledge that 6 million Jews died. He simply asked why do so many people focus solely on the Jews when over 50 million other people died. Yes, many were soldiers but not all of them.

On your other point, I suppose we focus on Jews during WWII because it was a systematic attempt at genocide. But you seem intelligent enough to know that, so I'm assuming this was your sleight of hand attempt to change that to the United States involvement in Iraq. (I am sickened and shamed to see the death toll in that country - but I am surprised you turned the conversation from Ahmadinejad's views on the Holocaust to America's involvement in Iraq.)

Nocturnus - The trail of tears was horrible. 16,000 men, woman, and children forced from land their ancestors had occupied for thousands of years. 1/4 of them died on the march. I had a high school teacher that claimed Andrew Jackson was the greatest American president because he had character. He was aware of the statistics on the trail of tears and still felt this way. I just can't comprehend how people like him and Ahmandinejad can think the way they do.

That was a war. If the country in question starts a war, then it is the responsibility of the president to bring that war to a stop with minimal loss of U.S. life. Truman had to take into account how many american lives were at stake. War is not fair and never will be. If a president takes the oath of office it is his responsibility to take quick and decisive action aginst all combatants arrayed against our nation. If Bush had been true to his oath Tora Bora would have been a smoking raidioactive hole in the ground fifteen minutes after the world trade centers came down. Would have shown that part of the world what true terror is.
