Artist Gunther von Hagens, the German sculptor behind such brilliant works as dead bodies headbutting soccer balls and dead bodies playing saxophones, is no stranger to controversy. His 2006 Body World show in New York drew ire when it was revealed that many of the bodies came from undocumented Chinese workers.
According to von Hagens, the fornicating couple in his new "Cycles of Life" exhibit volunteered before death to be used in the sex exhibition. When they died, they were stripped of their water and fats and injected with plastic before being posed in a sexual position.
The couple had never met in life, suggesting that first dates get way better in the afterlife.

This is disgusting.
This does nothing to further science.
And besides that the bodies are excecuted Chinese dissidents whose bodies were purchased on the black market.
Fucking disgusting all around. That this man is allowed to do this is beyond all contempt.
"Brilliant" does not describe his works at all. Contemptuous, perhaps. Shock value, definitely.
There's no art to it. He's taken dead bodies and posed them.
He's a cretin and a creep, not an artist.
He doesn't need to open a gallery, he needs to be put in an asylum.
