Teen charged with setting 2,100-acre LA wildfire

It is sad to read some of the comments here who are ready to see this kid go to jail. Notice, this teen was charged with "recklessly causing a fire". He could have simply smoked a cigarette and accidentally start the fire. Comments he did the crime should do the time.... are simply sickening. What if your son accidentally started the fire?

I also would, like to know the events that lead up to the boy being charged with this.
How do we do that the record should be public knowledge except his name. I’m going to try and look for posted evidence on the sheriff’s blotter if I can. What county in Cal. Or where the charges were filled.

Now the boy is in the woods. With whom? Are there any witness? Did he run for help.
Was he smoking? There are a lot of questions that need to be addressed. The most important the boys past history .Was this boy good and respectful in his community? (The Nabors would know).
How was his personality in school an with friends? This will give a broader insight to the boys inner
Self. And who was his friends? (Show me your friends, and I’ll tale you who you are.) but that really doesn’t tale you a persons heart.
It may all bin an accident . But with all the fires in Cal. He may become a scapegoat . Or set an example to
Others. (Playing with fire in the forest).
If so, they may create an angry spiteful, vindictive adult. That could cause greater damage later.
(Remember that everything you do in life is a reflection on ones parents.)

I really don't think it's fair for this kid to be charged as an adult. Even if he meant to start a fire, he couldn't have possible ever expected it to get this bad. 13 years old is way too young to be charged as an adult.

i think if you do the crime pay the time. if i were to start that ire i would have to take the same consequences. plain and simple

The boy's only 13! it's not like he meant for it to be 2,100 acres of flame. He probably didn't know what he was doing, and to drop 2 felonies on him is ludicrous.

I want to know exactly what evidence they have and how they attained it. This seems like a very hard thing to prove.

i wanna know how this kid started the fire or how they know he started the fire or if it was on purpose or if they will link it to drug use or... idk out of questions.
