On Sept. 12th, 2009 thousands of patriotic Americans marched on Washington to voice their protest of massive government spending and their desire to not have government funded healthcare.

As we saw last weekend, there were lots of games with the numbers. The day before the event, Democrats warned that 2 million angry patriots could enter the capital while organizers of the Tea Party were only expecting 20,000-30,000–a move which seemed intended to build up expectations that might be let down the next day.
Then on Saturday there were wild numbers–wildly low and wildly high–which were difficult to verify. One which was wildly too high (2 million) was incorrectly attributed to ABC which later denied making such a report. On the other end, some claimed only thousands or even hundreds came out–but a simple check of area webcams revealed this to be a gross fallacy.
I have read in several places that D.C. police placed the crowd estimate at 1.2 million, though I’m not completely sure of the veracity of that claim.

This story is false. Indeed the link is only to a photo, no credible source.
Accurate crowd estimates range from 50 - 100 thousand.
EPIC FAIL
