Get real!
Obama has held office for little more than six months.
The financial collapse of the US began with Ronald Reagan inauguration and specifically his tax cut for ELITES in 1982.
It was also Reagan who had concluded a treasonous deal with Iran to CONTINUE HOLDING US HOSTAGES until AFTER his inauguration. Recall --that, at the time, Iran was a declared enemy of the US. Later, as President, Reagan would commit HIGH TREASON again, arming Iran, and funneling the PROFITS, off the books, to an insurgency in Nicaragua.
There is a term for this: HIGH TREASON!
"lies dont come in colors."
The right wing certainly thinks so!
Where were the 'tea baggers' when Nixon was selling us out to China to whom we are now but a vassal state?
Where were the 'tea baggers' when Ronald Reagan's incompetent policies would plunge the nation into the greatest depression since Hoover's 'Great Depression' of '29.
Where were the 'tea baggers' when it has since become clear that the US has not really ever recovered from the Reagan 'recession' in which were lost several major US industries to Japan and, most recently, China!
Where were the 'tea baggers' when Ronald Reagan sold us out to both Iran and the Contras?
Where were the 'tea baggers' when Bush Sr lied about raising taxes?
Where were the 'tea baggers' when Ronald Reagan called 'crazy' those made jobless by his idiotic, right wing policies?
Where were the 'tea baggers' when Bush Jr was bankrupting the nation with wars of naked aggression, lying about 911, covering it up, and money-laundering booty to his 'base' via 'tax cuts' and whopping defense contracts?
Where were the 'tea baggers' when Bush Jr waged war on what he called a 'goddamned piece of paper' known to the rest of us as 'The Constitution'.
Where were the 'tea baggers'? The Carvellian quick response: 'they were bent over with their heads squarely up their asses!

Re: "Who is spreading the hatred, fear, and lies now?"
The GOP --as always.
Why does the GOP spread lies and bigotry?
Lies, bigotry, 'white riots', and propaganda are how the GOP gets into public office.
Certainly, they are not elected because they have ever --at any time --told the truth about thier own agenda and about the FACT that their policies have beneifited, in fact, ENRICHED just one percent of the US population.
The RULING one percent which now owns more than 95 percent of the rest of us combined cannot win with votes. They may have most f the wealth but they DO NOT have the votes.
The means they have to lie if 'their' party is EVER to get elected to as much as dog catcher.
BTW --I have REAMS of cold hard stats from official sources [US Commerce Dept, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Census Bureau et al ] to back up everything I have ever posted on any forum or blog with regard to the effect of Reagan/Bush tax cuts and how those cuts and other GOP policies have enriched JUST ONE PERCENT of the US population.

You're assuming all the tea party participants are Republicans. They aren't. This crazy spending by both George Bush and Barack Obama has got to stop. It will stop, in a very ugly way eventually. Remember Bill Clinton? Balanced budgets, reduced welfare roles, even a surplus, a lockbox to pay for Social Security, that guy? Some fiscal responsibility is needed, and right away.

I grew up listening to windbag conservatives denounce 'big spending librul's' and DC bureaucrats. So --what do these windbags do? They support Ronald Reagan who DOUBLED the Federal Bureaucracy and TRIPLED the national deficit. That's just real smart, huh?
It was the RIGHT WING who created the mess to begin with. The TEA BAGGER movement is variously motivated --but right wingers certainly hope to kick up enough dust and distraction to defect attention from right wing criminality in high places.
Before Ronald Reagan's tax cut of 1982, the US was relatively egalitarian.
AFTER --RR's tax cut, wealth was transferred to the upper quintile. Later, under Bush Jr it was ONLY THE UPPER ONE PERCENT which benefited.
TODAY --as a result of GOP policies specifically --only ONE PERCENT of the total US population owns more than 95 percent of the rest of us combined.
If the Tea baggers blame Democrats for this, the TEA BAGGERS are STUPID.
Democrats have held the deciding power in DC for just eight years of twenty-six. In those eight years, Clinton REVERSED this pernicious trend before Bush Jr was able to put the US BACK on the track to rack and ruin.
Otherwise, the utter financial collapse of the US would have occurred much, much earlier if Clinton had not succeeded during his eight years.
Clinton is HATED by the GOP not because he failed but because he succeeded. He is hated not because he got a blow job but because he slowed the enrichment of the mere one percent who in fact OWN the US.
As a result of GOP/right wing policy, the US is now OWNED by China. If you don't believe me, check out the CIA's World Fact Book which lists China at the top with the World's LARGEST POSITIVE Current Account Balance. The US is on BOTTOM with the world;s largest NEGATIVE current account balance.
When it is no longer in the interests of China to PROP up the dollar, China will simply dump it and the US will utterly collapse almost overnight. Millions will starve. What will the TEA BAGGERS do then? Who will they SCAPEGOAT?
Tea baggers would do well if they got their facts straight before shooting their mouths off.

That's a blatant misstatement based, I am sure, on the brainwashing of the American public.
The Tea Baggers are liars and hypocrites who have --in fact --injected RACE into the issue.

It IS anti-American to spew hate, racism and overthrow of the government. Yes civil disobedience is OK, but the operative is CIVIL. Fortunately the character of those at the gathering is in the open as is their supporters. I guess air pollution falls into this process.

There were SOME sincere people involved in the Tea Party protests --but not many.
Some have valid points to make but it will not be accomplished in a movement that was conceived in a GOP focus group on K-street.
As far as government spending is concerned, where were the TEA BAGGGERS when the regimes of Ronald Reagan and Bush Jr ran up the highest DEBTS and DEFICITS in US history?
The scumbaggers...uh...tea baggers are stained by the fact that it is organized by CONSERVATIVES --the ones created this mess to begin with.
And to this day they have NOT taken responsibility for the fact that they BANKUPTED the US government, ENRICHED just one percent of the population and are laughing at comments like yours as we post.
Stop being DUPES of these liars!

Your response is devoid of facts. I am not duped by teabaggers. I support you and their right to protest peacefully. The teabag movement did not start on K st (which is equally dominated by repubs and dems; daschle and dole work for the same lobbying firm). There is no difference between the two major parties. Painting the Teabag movement as a Republican movement ignores the fact that their beef is with both parties.

The tea parties were originally thought of and created by Ron Paul back in 2007 but the neocons quickly took it over so they could place their speaking heads at our once were educational rallies. There is much you need to see in the fight between the libertarians and the neocons. Peace

Complete crap. 1. I am old. 2. I am not delusional. Look at the tags that were put on this story. That is delusional. To call people who disagree with you politically racist or Republican dupes (neither of which I am) obfuscates the point entirely.
All of us should be able to defeat arguments without resorting to a "they are not us" stance.
