Mike Huckabee in 2012? If conservative value voters have their way, Huckabee may be at the top of the GOP ticket in 2012. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee was the victor in a 2012 straw poll at the Values Voter Summit in Washington, DC.
Huckabee received 28 percent of the vote while former Govs. Mitt Romney (Mass.) and Sarah Palin (Alaska) as well as Gov. Tim Pawlenty (Minn.) received roughly 12 percent of the vote. Indiana Rep. Mike Pence took 11 percent.

If Obama remains unpopular by 2012 the Republicans will have to get someone who's atleast a moderate. But the theocratic right has the GOP leadership under control.
I think in a race between Obama and Huckabee, the former will win. I don't think very many will vote for a guy who wants to put HIV/AIDS victims in concentration camps.
