    • The federal government has been interferring with the states for 150 years. At least Obama is consistant in his efforts to control everything.

    • WTF?

First-- did Obama do this publicly?
      Second-- why?
Third-- what place does he have to tell other people in the party to run or not to run? He should tell Max Baucus to not run.

    • Honestly Sam, Patterson is considered to be one of the worst governors in NY state history and is possibly the most unpopular man to hold office.
No one even voted for them man, his position was merely a result of the Spitzer scandal a few years ago and since he took office he's cut funding to state programs like crazy while refusing to consider a millionaires tax, made the selection for Hillary Clinton's senate replacement into a circus, and held office during some of the most tumultuous years in the state Senate and Assembly

I don't think Obama should be the one to tell him to not run for office, but considering he's running against Rudy Giuliani I'd feel better without him being the challenger.

    • Is Obama racist for doing this? Perhaps he is showing his anti handicapped side as he did when he made the Special Olympics joke? Does he realize Patterson is one of only two African-American governors? Why is the White House meddling in NY Politics? Are NYers pissed about this?

Would you give the whole "racism" thing a rest?

People hate Obama because they are racist. That's true.
They also dislike his policies because they dislike his policies. That's also true.
Some people hate Obama's policies, because he's black. That's also true as well.

If you're being accused of being racist, it's probably because you're saying racist stuff.
