Time launched its Assignment Detroit initiative Monday, which it described as "a year-long commitment to living in and reporting from the city of Detroit."
As part of the effort, Time has purchased a home in Detroit from which reporters and editors will tell the city's stories. Those stories will appear in Time, Fortune, Sports Illustrated, Money and Essence magazines, as well as on Time.com, Fortune.com, CNNMoney.com and SI.com. They will be branded Assignment: Detroit.
