I have lived in the same apartment house with people who only walk out with pants and undershirts and not one has been indicted for murder. Therefore, people with pants and undershirts do not kill.

How do you decide just by looking at someone on a mass transit system if they intend to harm or not? is it a person going to college w/ a backpack or a terrorist wanting to blow the entire train to bits? how do you know? how can you tell?
same goes for a person that is about to rob you,....do you know they will before they do it or not?

nobody wants to die on the train, or in the train station, but I remember when people used to look at each other and not be afraid of either being robbed or blown up. There is something terribly wrong with the way we are living, and I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Who profits from you being afraid of a person whose origins appear to be Middle Eastern? What are people going to do, not take the train because some guy looks like he might have a bomb in his backpack? Most people can't afford to live their lives that way. Should we segregate all people of Middle Eastern descent, perhaps force them to ride in a car at the back of the train, just in case? Seems like that's what they used to do to blacks riding the bus in the South. We could go back and look at the list of things about black people that made Southerners afraid of them, and a lot of that ignorance is still alive and well today, but it resides in the subconscious for the most part.
