He's white-washing staying the course here. I support Obama but this is too far. Now... when Bush did stuff like this it took us YEARS to rally up and stop it. Now we need to learn from that past failure and start making a scene about this issue NOW.
Don't be a whiner, start phoning your congressmen now.
Cheers.

Hey, when an avowed leftist even criticizes the POTUS, don't you think that there is more than just a few "little" things amiss here?

Much of this video is getting way ahead of what Obama is actually saying.....He's definately NOT saying that these ppl are innocent or have no connections or past history of terrorism,( like much of this video implies if you watch it again. )
At any rate it is too early what a system like this might entail. Obama is trying to make out that this system is not going to be above the law, or be corrupt. But the lady in this video is making out the exact opposite! If Bush did this a few years ago, I'm sure most of you would be quite happy!

That being said I do not like the idea of indefinite detention. The thought of having even one innocent person locked up because we are afraid for ourselves bothers me.
Here is a link to a WP article from July that says a task force was formed and will report on detention policy some time around (or before) Jan 21st. It also says that whatever detention policy is instituted that "There is no intent in the administration to rely on anything other than congressional authority." to implement it.
