This is from a Radio program on the BBC world service. The series is called After Shock and its about the global financial crisis.
The host Peter Day interviews Professor Simon Johnson of the Sloan School of Management, MIT, The Peterson Institute for Global Economics, and former Chief Economist of the IMF.
Prof. Johnson has some very interesting views and here is the summary of the article-
"The finance industry has effectively captured the US government. Recovery, says Professor Simon Johnson, will fail unless the financial oligarchy that is blocking essential reform is broken. And, if a true depression is to be avoided, he says, we need to act quickly."
