Empire State Building Lit for China's 60th Anniversary

Apparently, a totalitarian regime can now be honored in America, provided that it has enough financial influence. This sad display is a stark indicator of how little human rights mean across the globe.

    • This is so wrong it is unbelievable. Maoism is responsible for the death of over one million citizens. If China wants to celebrate, great. We should be celebrating July 4.

      It's showing respect to those that are going to celebrate. If you don't like it..well think of all the things you celebrate that others think is just plain stupid or cruel, for that matter.

      I think people should be pleased that the building owners wanted to be respectful and pay tribute in such a manner...more so than being upset over something they are surely not supporting.
