Unwelcome memos thudded onto desks this week. America's once proud corporate titans, still in business thanks to government bail-outs, have tightened up on expenses to satisfy the US treasury.

Under the terms of government aid programs, companies ranging from Bank of America to AIG, Chrysler and General Motors have been obliged to issue formal policies on staff expenses. The result, in many cases, is a vaguely worded statement but a few specifics are worthy of note.

    • Could you imagine how much more advanced we could be if everyone sitting on an executive board used the company's money for mankind's betterment and adequate research instead of spending it on $1000 waste baskets and $200 hammers. But a population asking that type of focus and ethics from our leaders and bosses is not strong enough an argument when pitted against 6 week vacations in the Bahamas every year....... PAID TIME TOO!! Most of the world's financial elite have their self absorbed priorities twisted in a huge knot. Where does one begin on the long journey of trying to make change. Boycotts? Assembly? Print? The answer is yes to all. Get Loud! Stand Up! Take Action! Educate!
