All cops do is hurt people. When you watch them on the cop shows, if they prove somebody didn't "do it" they are never happy for them. They just hate it when somebody is not punished. They can't stand it. Just like they would chase someone only for fleeing to the point they run them into a tree or a child or whatever.
They are like rabid dogs chasing a cat. - 2 years ago

J-Jammer, you are not about to get away with calling me a racist. My facts are straight. All cops have their rules, their blue code they have to comply with in order to not be ostracized or fired. All have sworn to uphold all laws, even the bad ones, cops are by default all bad.
Helpful hint: think before you type.

Yes that is what I'm stating.
And police are not evil because when there are more police officers there's less crime. If they were really evil there would be more crime the more officers there are.

No J-jammer, when there's more police there is more crime. That is a fact. Actually most crime is caused by the fact that drugs are illegal. Cops make sure it stays illegal too. Even though it is not a crime, because crimes require victims. The people the cops are sworn to harass are their victims. The cops are the criminals. Yes indeed all cops are evil. It is proven.

As much as I am loathe to agree with JJ here, this idea that ALL cops are criminals is simply absurd. When society can act in a manner that does not demand police officers, then we will not have them. Nor will we have the occasional officer that gains headlines by being a criminal and thus casting all officers in a criminal shadow. Stereotyping is ignorance and bigotry.

We should let Texas leave the Union, let the borders be closed to anyone but Texans and let them kill each other till there are no more left and then the decent folks can leave in peace. Any time there is any evidence of a person being innocent it should be the states job that justice is served not there lust for blood.

Well, before you let Texas leave the Union you should realize that (based on 2007) Gross State Product for Texas was $1,116.81 billion, which placed Texas in 2007 as the tenth largest economy in the world. Texas also usually ranks as one of the highest if not number one state for international exports in the United States. Also during the hard economic times that the U.S. is in right now, Texas has one of the smallest percentages of job loss in the country
And if you are going to kick states out for bad Governors then you need to kick Illinois out for governor Blagojevich, New York for governor Spitzer, South Carolina for governor Sanford, Alabama for governor Siegelman, Connecticut for governor Rowland, Louisianna for governor Edwards, and Ohio for governor Taft. Not much of a U.S. economy without all of those states.

Lot of speculation going around.
What actually started the fire if it was not arson? Saying he didn't start it means something did....what did?
The problem isn't the Governor as much as it is the prosecutor that attacked with weak evidence and the crappy defensive lawyer that couldn't poke holes in a flimsy evidence.
It is wrong to innocent people to death. The funny thing, however, is that people are willing to sacrafice people if something works...stating that a few losses makes it ok. IE driving. about 45,000 people die yearly becuase of car accidents. But that's ok because we continue to drive. If it was not ok we'd all stop driving. It's an acceptable loss because so much is accomplished with driving.
How many innocent people die because of the death penalty? I don't know...let me take a guess...5 a year? How many who are not innocent? How many are put to death that actually killed more than one person? Not only did they kill but they would have likely killed more? Because killing them saved many more lives...therefore those that are killed who did nothing wrong are sacrificed for a system that keeps the deadliest people from every doing harm again.
If you want to look at this logically.
Then there is the fun way of looking at this. If Rick is guilty of doing this and sweeping this under the rug....how much is he at fault for this? How does one know that someone didn't keep him from helping the man for many political reasons? Forcing his hand...
Then there's the Defense attorney thing. They get people off on the simplest of things...then their "client" goes and commits another crime and if it was murder or rape....that's worse. Are they guilty for releasing a villain onto the street knowing that they could very well kill or rape again? But they do so because lawyers don't care about much other than winning.....justice is a backseat thing.
WIN....but don't take responsibility for what that win means.
If Perry knew and didn't do anything to save this man that's disgusting, however how can we put him in trouble if what he had done is the exact same thing a defense attorney does but doesn't get into trouble for?

The flaw in your logic is that traffic fatalities are caused by ACCIDENTS. If this needs any further explanation, then there is no hope in reaching you with ACTUAL logic.

Accidents in the most broadest of terms. People cause these said accidents by NOT PAYING ATTENTION 99% of the time.
Care for me to explain what broad means or paying attention?

Texas need to turn out this criminal and put Kaye Bailey Hutchinson in as Governor. She is too conservative for me but she seems to be a decent and thoughtful person unlike this "cowboy" Perry who still is fighting the Civil war.

Yeah,
He was innocent.
and yes, Texas will cover its ass.
and thanks to the f*cking death penalty in Texas, all Texans are now the killers of an innocent man.
Godamnit!
I love my state, but the death penalty doesn't work and it kills innocent people. These Texas DA's don't care if you are innocent, they have quotas to meet. - 2 years ago
