The Ensign affair may result in Senator John Ensign's resignation and even imprisonment. It appears Ensign may have broken the law by bribing the husband of his former mistress. Ensign gave the man a lobbying job and used his public position and influence to further the man's career.

    • Ensign should have resigned months ago. I doubt he will serve time in jail, but it certainly appears as if he knowingly violated the law as well as Senate ethics.
