Gohmert's hate filled, nonsensical rant began with an ill conceived defense of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, stumbled through fear mongering the Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Act and included a curious and suspicious denial of any racist intent.

k, so let me get this straight.
we shouldn't consider homophobic murders hate crimes because that would open the door for people to start having sex with little boys, animals and dead bodies since "sexual orientation" would be wide open for interpretation, thus deteriorating our nations morality, ultimately creating economic instability leading to economic chaos, which will cause people to therefore give up their freedoms and vote in someone like hitler.
