ManKind Project does “sweat lodges” similar to the one this weekend that killed two people and injured 19 others in an Arizona non-related event:

ManKind project is NOT affiliated with this particular group, but does participate in similar heat intensives “hot boxes” on their dangerous New Warrior Training Adventure.
Self-help expert and author James Arthur Ray rented the Arizona facility as part of his "Spiritual WARRIOR" retreat that began Oct. 3 that promised to "absolutely change your life." It is not known if Ray has any association with ManKind Project and its “New WARRIOR Training Adventure.”
In 2007, ManKind Project settled a wrongful death suit by paying $75,000 to the family of Michael Scinto who committed suicide after a “New Warrior Training Adventure” sponsored by ManKind Project Houston:
