Can babies have pre-existing conditions?

Currently, there are millions of Americans that are uninsured or uninsured. As a recent college graduate, I was given the boot from my parents coverage once I got my diploma. But imagine not even getting the chance to get on your parents insurance. That's exactly what's happening to Baby Alex in Colorado. This two month old is being denied health care coverage by his mother's insurer because he's in the 99th percentile for his height and weight, even though he is a healthy baby.

Seriously, an insurance company is denying coverage to a baby! This is ridiculous.
