Girls sell sex in Hong Kong to earn shopping money

She doesn't want to be identified, except by her nickname "Sze," and she has a secret past. Her father doesn't know what she did as a 16-year-old, and she hopes he never finds out. But Sze, now 19, wants young girls to hear her story so they never make the same mistake.
Most girls who engage in compensated dating don't view themselves as prostitutes, a social worker says.

"My first customer was an ordinary man in his 40s. We skipped the dinner part and went straight to the guest house for sex," Sze recalled. "Actually, I was a bit scared, but I knew this was the only way I could get money. This customer wasn't bad, though. We just had sex, he paid, and then he left. I thought this was easy money, and that's why I continued doing this kind of thing."

      Heh kidding. Sheesh these people are impossible. So many other ways to make money in this world... go clean someones yard or as this girl did, work in a salon.

    • Sounds like any number of young American trailer park dwellers.... I mean they don't call it the worlds oldest profession for nothing. And as long as young girls have a warped view or outlook on life, they will continue to make these kinds of choices. Just another of many consequences of poverty, wealthy people with a good family don't generally do this thing. And poor people have a hard time keeping a family together living paycheck to paycheck. So daddy was gone out working overtime (or just not there anymore), daughter felt the need for male attention, and well sex and new clothes, why not? It's sad I knew quite a few girls that fell into warped behaviors due to lack of a decent family and other socioeconomic factors. That's why I personally have issues with our society particularly the distribution of wealth. The whole world lives with flawed unfair systems, and that's a big part of why most countries have these types of problems...

    • I saw this on CNN today, it is so funny, you dont want to be stigmatised as a prostitute, you just change the name of your job.
      Compensated dating, almost sounds normal.
      Hong Kong clothes must be very nice.
