"They were the worst three months of all time," said Rick Sharga, spokesman for RealtyTrac, an online marketer of foreclosed homes.
During that time, 937,840 homes received a foreclosure letter -- whether a default notice, auction notice or bank repossession, the RealtyTrac report said. That means one in every 136 U.S. homes were in foreclosure, which is a 5% increase from the second quarter and a 23% jump over the third quarter of 2008.

A report tonight indicated Canada just had it's third best quarter ever in housing sales, up 18% over last year.
Quite a contrast. - 2 years ago

Huge discrepancy between Wall Street and bank quick recoveries. Goes to show we're back to status quo with the rich getting what everyone else doesn't.

They could have paid the people to stay, to protect the Property, but I reckon that's thinking too far out of their little "foreclose-on-everybody" box. Perhaps, just a guess, many of these foreclosed properties are being foreclosed on to make the Obama look crummy.
