That's such bullshit. Most people in America have interracial coupling their ancestry SOMEWHERE. My parents are an interracial couple, my great grandmother was cherokee Indian, and God knows what else is mixed in me. And me and my brother are doing pretty damn well.

So my parents would have been out! Good thing we live in California. Oops Prop 8! People shouldn't be denied the right to wed the person they love if they are of a legal age. You can apply this to the rights of Same-sexed couples to marry - to me it is so sad to think that this kind of blatant discrimination/ hatred is not only present in the minds of some citizens but also continues to infect our legal system.

sex is bad, let's face it. It is illegal to have sex with children, animals, relatives, people of the same sex, people of another sex who look different than you, certain inanimate objects and yes, even yourself under most circumstances...

I am in an interacial relationship and I am very offended. My boyfriend is Puerto Rican and we talk about how we would raise an interacial child. I believe it is the responsibility of the child's parents to help them learn where they came from and feel like they belong.

Been married almost 25 years. Longer than some folks who are of the same race. I suspect interracial marriages in certain areas probably don't last -- because of the horrible stuff they receive from people like this. But he's wrong to assume that Blacks won't accept the offspring. And I'm not sure about the longevity white/white marriages or black/black marriages. Am not sure if this is the exact opinion homophobic people have about gay marriages and children. Although alike in many ways, racial oppression is very different from oppression toward gays re: child-rearing.

My husband and I are just another example of one of those interracial marriages that don't last. We have been married for 40 years. Our four children are all college graduates and are gainfully employed people who contribute to society. We have grandchildren and we too thought that this nonsense was over.
