Ron Paul - We’ve Been Neoconned!

Amazing speech of Ron Paul calling out the neoconservative republicans in 2003. Youtube wasn't around then so this came out much later and is still vital to help everyone understand the grave problems associated with the past administration and to see exactly what Obama inherited, although things have yet to change...

    • southrabbit, you said: "The problem with Ron Paul is that he collects the money and wears the suit as well as the rest of them. He isn't a reformer or able to start a movement because he is uncharismatic and his libertarian message is really just cryptonazi babble". >>>>>>
Ron Paul votes against Congress receiving/giving themselves raises. He is the only congressman I know of who always RETURNS unused portions of budget (which also means he didnt spend it!). As an OB-GYN Dr. he didnt accept payment from Medicare but instead just ate the cost himself. Years ago he sponsored a bill to End the Fed, but no one else had the guts to sing on to it. This year he sponsored a bill to Audit the Fed (HR 1207) which does have over 200 co-sponsors! For the past 20 yrs or so, he has made a bill for U.S. to get away from the U.N. and stop funding the U.N., and has done so again this year (HR 1146, The American Sovereignty Restoration Act of 2009). The "uncharismatic" thing is a matter of opinion, the "crypto-nazi" thing I dont get at all, the rest of your comment seems to be refuted by the facts.

I truly believe in the libertarian platform. The green party opens up the doors towards too much intervention, Mises, Hayek, Rothbard, Hazlitt, are some of my favorites along with Ruwart.

    • This speech is a classic and should be heard by everyone. Someone did a YouTube of this where someone put the pictures of all the names that Ron Paul names but it got banned.

    • Ron Paul gets it, when will the rest of the knuckle headed politicians (Democrats and Republican) follow suit ?

Common sense is now at a premium, and will continue to be as long as we keep electing undiscerning automatons to participate in the running of government.
