1. Many people are over medicated, under medicated or given the wrong medicine because the doctor just wants to get paid for giving you prescriptions. You don't have that problem with marijuana, you can't take too much :D.
2. Another thing about marijuana that is trying to be legalized is a little something called "Recreational" use. Thats when you use it because you want to use it and not because you have crippling pain. why aren't you fired up about recreational alchohol use when they don't have physical ailments? because you a contradiction.
3. Legalization would help the economy, which by the way needs all the help it can get. One of the main reasons they have not made it MORE illegal in Cali. (More as in State AND Federal) is because it is 60% of their economy now, and it is the only thing keeping it from going completely under.
4. It is not just about "we wanna smoke pot!" Its about "As an American living in the Land of the Free, It is my right to grow and/or use this PLANT as I see fit". If we're going to live in America lets atleast pretend we know our own history ok? you know, about liberty and freedom?

IM 20 fucking years old and i function like an old gimp man...

and by doing so have regained most of my life back... as a normal college student. im not late to class any more because i have to sit down and wait for my back to stop pounding... i can carry at least the lighter of my groceries to my own car... i can use the stairs again...and i can sleep at night..

Section 11362.5 is added to the Health and Safety Code, to read:
11362.5.(b)(1) (A) To ensure that seriously ill Californians have the right to obtain and use marijuana for medical purposes where that medical use is deemed appropriate and has been recommended by a physician who has determined that the person's health would benefit from the use of marijuana in the treatment of cancer, anorexia, AIDS, chronic pain, spasticity, glaucoma, arthritis, migraine, or any other illness for which marijuana provides relief.

Any illness. So I may not be terminally sick, but because my doctor agrees it helps me sleep and calms my anxiety it is legal.
