Bicyclist killed in West Boca crash

Doesn't matter where this happens, but it sickes me that these atricles are not properly covered widely by the press or... you have to search for them, if you hear it on the news. The local newspapers feel it more important to cover celebrity lawsuits than to cover what has happened to our roadways where more and more pedestrians and cyclists are getting killed. Hating to live in a place where the outdoors is a place to fear if you walk or petal, to get around!

    • Thanks for the comment! I was an avid cyclist in NJ and NY all my life till I move to south Florida and the things I witnessed here had forced me to get a drivers lisence at 45. I thought I would get away with never driving! The part of the "Sunshine State" which I live in has a few bike lanes that are as wide as the gutters they go over and then they just end for no reason. Pedestrians get killed on grass and sidewalks by cars and the news coverage goes away very quickly.

    • I live just outside of Corpus Christi (thats in south texas) We have had two or three cyclist get hurt. The local news was all over them as soon as it happen. We had some guy get shot while riding his bike then another guy got run over and draged by a drunk driver. then another guy got run over. That one was a hit and run. They are some what pro Bicyclist around here. Oh yea awhile back there was a guy that got run over and died. That was big News.
