I wish people would learn to be much more skeptical of the government. How many more times will the citizenry panic over chicken little's dire predictions? (WMDs, Mushroom Clouds, Economic Armageddon greater than the Great Depression) And how can those who profess little or no confidence in the government cope with the inherent cognitive dissonance of trusting them with the economy or their health?
I shouldn't be surprised by this considering how much faith people put in talking heads with degrees in journalism or their guests who are more often wrong than right.
It's all part of the socialization most of us go through. We are taught from an early age to follow orders without question. Taught that it is better to remain silent or lie outright than to offend another's peculiar sense of political correctness. So we follow orders, rewrite what others have written, repeat what others have said, agree with the majority, offend no one, and therefore do nothing of any consequence, write nothing of consequence, say nothing of consequence, and become people of no consequence.
We must dissent.

I find it appropriate that they use these acronyms
like TARP to cover (no pun intended) Paulson's Piracy.Paulson is a bottom feeder. And CARP does rhyme with TARP, does it not ? CARP. Sing it out now. Carefuly Arranged Ripoff Procession. After 8 years of Bush's Piracy R US regime looting the public Treasury to get theirs, could we expect anything different ? The day before the 9/11 holocost, Bush's Defense Secretary announced that only a mere 2.1 Trillion dollars was somehow "missing". Hell that's only the combined GDP of the USA for July & August. Like the Jimmy Cagney movie Never Steal Anything Small (they DO have a reputation to consider) their 2006 heist knocking off the Iraqi Gold Depository in Bagdad for $16 Billion had to be only an appetizer. Bush nominated Paulson because he was a fellow pirate. Who better than a fox to guard the henhouse for the goose that lays the golden eggs. It's not that Paulson was guarding it to protect it for us, he was guarding it to prevent anyone else but themselves from getting to it first. There's no honor amongst thieves. And in such an openly notorious regime like Bush's Piracy R US where they made no secret they were out to grab all they could steal, you had to smell this stinker coming. Their time, and thus opportunity to steal, was coming to a close. So why not have a TARP party to cap off 8 years of robbery ? Makes sense to me. Hey everybody loves a celebration. Does the term conflict of interest ring any bells here ? Lawyers get disbarred
for such activities, but Banksters (Bank + Gangster= Bankster) soak it up like a sponge. I mean when you factor a measly $16 Billion in Gold Bullion vs $2.1 Trillion, there's got to be some nice round number that sets well in the middle of all that that they could say was their final accomplishment, you know their trophy shot. Works for me. - 2 years ago
