    • I can agree with the statement that when you don't have enough educations you have limited knowledge to teach your children. But it's not just that, the latino women are always working for the white middle or upper class and thats why white children also know spanish. lol. Spending more time with your children regardless of race will better influence your children to learn more.

    • Studies are supposed to reveal the truth. Even the most laymen current readers can see there is more going on here than a blanket statement like the article suggests.

    • What an incredibly fucked up study. The Latino babies come from poor families and the white babies come from middle class families. Their conclusion and the title of this article would most accurately be reflected if it said "Poor Latino toddlers lag white, middle class toddlers in cognitive skills."

That poverty contributes to lower cognitive skills has been linked time and time again. Why does this study blatantly single out poor Latinos and pit them against middle class whites? Sick, wrong, unscientific, and RASCIST.

The headline comparagement of latinos to whites, compared then to how it starts out discussing poor vs middle-class, ...cleanly indicates racist disposition (regardless of the rest of the article).

    • Ofcourse ANY middleclass family's childrens will have a higher education than a lower classes, statistically. Race is no issue it's the money spent on pushing the child through school.

    • Interesting because my son's pre-k teacher just told me he was the most advanced in his class ... and he's the ONLY Hispanic in a class full of white kids, and yea, we're probably not as well off as the other families. So I think these studies are a little off or my kid's exceptional, I'll take either or.
