the have mores don't care about this kind of devastation and pollution, because they falsely believe their gated communities protect them from it.

And these photos are of what can easily been seen. When you add the fact that the toxic chemical penetration of mammals throughout the globe (most especially, including us) both from air and water sources now runs from pole to pole, the thought nearly paralyzes one. Even generously assuming that much of the toxic pollution is unintentional and incremental, (a big assumption in the case of modern industrial sites) one is left with the example of the Sicilian Mafia purposeful sinking aging ships laden with radioactive waste in their own waters since the 1990's, to save on the costs of transporting it for (illegal) dumping on the African coast.
Is this a sickness inherent to all mankind, or is there more than one species of humankind on the earth now?

what a wondrous "creation" is man. infinate in its stupidity, mixxed with greed and pride that know, no limits.

i dont understand why this is surprising, we've known about this and have been doing it since it became possible. its one thing to do it, notice it, make judgments on it, but nothing will ever change.

Naples has had a huge problem with their trash, with trash piling up all over the streets and toxic waste being dumped anywhere. I think that most of the problem has been recently resolved, but I wonder what long term effects it has had on that part of Italy.

If only the public news talked of these catastrophes more often this problem wouldn't happen, sadly though these area's of "toxicity and earthly devastation" are hidden like a dirty secret by our politicians and leaders. These dumping zones need to end, their has to be a way to recycle everything. Even nuclear waste.
