Scientologists convicted of fraud

A French court has convicted the Church of Scientology of fraud, but stopped short of banning the group from operating in France.

Two branches of the group's French operations and its leader in France have been fined, reports say.

The case came after complaints from two women, one of whom said she was pressured into paying more than 20,000 euros (£18,100) for expensive products.

France regards Scientology as a sect, not a religion.

    • The New World Orders plan is to attack and remove all religions, replacing them with their authorized one. Even so far as to stick e: Christians in concentraton camps. Beware, if we allow one religion to be taken down by gov't, all churches will. We have a constitution that states, "freedom of religion". I noticed a comment here to force all churches to pay taxes - 1. no one should be forced to pay taxes. 2. gov't IS FORCE. 3.the members of churches already paid taxes from their income, and if they want to give it to a church, that is their choice. People own their income, just as they own their body and their psyche. I am surprized to see comments like this on a great movement site. It is their right to practice their own religion. Yes, I am aware of the man made bible, a lot of lies within, but people have a right to believe and think as they wish. I for one, dont follow any man made religion, but instead am of spiritual belief, we are not human animals. the world gov't and others believe we are animals, and set up for termination, via population control, CODEX by the UN, and various other propaganda by venues like, "global warming". So, there's got to be an inbetween...

    • I was in San Fransisco in the mid 70s and approached on the street by one of these scientologists. I was conned into taking this "exam" which was supposed to tell me what my strenghths and weaknesses were as far as career developement. I was to be mailed the results to A temporary mailing address I had in Anch.,Ak.
I spent the following years traveling thru-out the lower 48 on pipeline projects moving from town to town, hotel to motel. No matter where I went I would have mail waiting for me from these people. It was uncanny and all most scary. it was as though they knew where I would be before I got there.
It was years before they gave up on me and I stopped receiving their bullshit. these people are relentless and have one hell of an intelligence network so be wary of this.......

    • The first thing that should be done in the US is to revoke their Tax Exempt status and de-classify them as a Religion, for the simple reason that they are obviously NOT a religion. Their status was granted through graft, nepotism and intimidation and slipped through the cracks while the country was more intent on other more pressing matters, apparantly. Then, you tax them on EVERY dollar they ever made, retroactively to the beginning of their stint as a "religion". This would hopefully give other countries the balls to do the same thing. These viscious thugs have wormed their way throughout the globe using intimidation tactics the CIA would approve of, finally throwing threats of lawsuits upon those that would expose their evil. Seize all their property and line up their leaders for a Bastanado.
