ESPN broadcaster suspended for racist joke

thevandal
ESPN's Bob Griese is on a one-week suspension for an off-color joke he made on the air Saturday.

During an ESPN broadcast of a football game, Griese and another game analyst were looking at a graphic that came on the screen showing the top five drivers in a NASCAR race. When Griese's colleague asks where Colombian NASCAR driver Juan Pablo Montoya is, implying that he should have been on the list, Griese remarked that he was "out having a taco."

Later in the broadcast, Griese apologized for his comment. ESPN has said that Griese acknowledged his remark was inappropriate. Thoughts?

    • I love these two dude. Bob an ex-Dolphin (my favorite football team) and Montoya my favorite race car driver whom I've been following from 2003 but what Bob did was uncalled for. Can't Believe shit like this still happens in America. Still like them both though.
