Now what would make this better is if they would make our flags in america. Nothing makes you feel more patriotic than putting your flag up and ripping off a tag that says MADE IN CHINA.

Woah! I think you've made your point about marijuana very clearly. This isn't really the forum for that discussion, but I'll add a couple items and not reply (just to try to keep it from spinning out of control):

I think I should have the right to smoke pot but I value the purity of my body so I don't do any, or smoke, or tatts.... et cetera. What's important is that the choice is free to make.

The only way to bring down evil drug and evil oil is to stop buying their stuff. All together, just stop. Only buy what you absolutely must buy. The lack of income will topple them like the big mounds of crud that they are.

It's nice to continue to hear the SAME commitment and statements that we heard when the campaign was rolling along. If you do nothing else, at least listen to the first 15 minutes. It's worth it.

It's a great start and one that we most certainly would not have seen had McCain Palin continued the sell-out of America. I agree that, in the long term, the US must revive manufacturing but I am not optimistic. US was still productive under Carter; the official stats put Carter number two since WWII in job creation. But --by the end of the Reagan admin --one is hard-pressed to name a single industry in which the US is competitive let alone leading. Cars, steel, appliances, ---what happened?

Reagn defenders said that the US would export its expertise --but in what? IT is done in India and no one is sending men to the moon anymore.

The CIA's World Fact Book is not encouraging. The US is at the BOTTOM of the list with the World's largest NEGATIVE ''current account balance', formerly called the balance of trade deficit. China is NUMBER ONE with the world's LARGEST POSITIVE 'current account balance. This is a snapshot of the end result of thirty years of GOP economic incompetence.

As for reviving manufacturing jobs, what does the USA manufacture any more?

I'm one of those saved jobs- I'm a college instructor. I don't think saving service jobs like mine will enable a complete recovery. We need to revive manufacturing in order to thrive.
