Clinton is celebrated as a hero by Kosovo's ethnic Albanian majority for launching NATO's bombing campaign against Yugoslavia in 1999 that stopped the brutal Serb forces' crackdown on independence-seeking ethnic Albanians.
This is his first visit to Kosovo since it declared independence from Serbia last year.

Nursediesel so what is Milosevic's son & widow doing in Russia protected from int. law if they are enemies. Sadam Husain had a better grasp on reality than you Mrs Srbia. I was born in Croatia. I thought Clinton gave Srbia some payback himself. Why complain since you're so fond of payback. As for your Catholic line you can't find a bigger Mrs Catholic than crappy old Mila Mulroney. Talk about a bitch. You make me sick. You creep.

He got a statue in Ballybunion(a shitty seaside town in Co.Kerry in Ireland) 11 years ago. Locals call it "The Prick with the Stick". Just for playing golf (& some other stuff about Northern Ireland or something that noone really cares about anymore). Though from this angle it looks sort of Robert Stack from Airplane.

Funny all the negative comments about Clinton when you consider the two incompetents we've elected since he left office don't measure up to him put together.

This is great news for any American. I don't give a damn whether you're a Republican or a Democrat; when the people of another country happily wave American flags and build a friggin' statue of a former American president, that's just plain great.
As Americans, we need to remember who our friends are. We have too many enemies to ignore the few friends we have left.

I'd expect them to erect a huge Ronald Reagan statue after the gipper secretly circumvented the Congress and the Constitution and sold all those weapons and technology to Iran.
That's worked out well for them. - 2 years ago

LOL! Slick Willy's got his own statue. Good for him.
I wouldn't criticize him for it, its not like he asked for it. Furthermore, if we can all remember, the Albanians in Kosovo also cheered Bush when he come over on a visit. If they make a statue of him I hope to see the same people criticizing this statue blasting that one...

You mean Newt's Contract on America when he shut down the government?
That was before he was forced to not only resign his House speaker's position but got kicked clean out of Congress for corruption. My hero. LOL
Meanwhile, while he was chasing Clinton for Lewinski, Newt was fucking someone's wife while his own wife was dying of cancer. He then left the wife so she could die alone. Problem solved - 2 years ago

So people are Republicans and don't like a Democrat president, and laugh when a country views him as a hero and makes a statue of him? Seriously? I mean, cmon, I'm no fan of Clinton nor do I profess to have been around to know anything about this but at least wait till Bush has a statue made of him before you start snickering.

Yeah, and to the Serb's , who were hyped as the bad guys, he is the devil. The statue should be red with horns and a pointed tail. Hey, it's all in the eye of the beholder....
The Serbs had been beaten, tortured, raped and killed for decades before and they finally retaliated, so of course they were the bad guys. Why? Because they didn't have the money the other side had to hype it. The Catholic Church spent millions for the Croatians hype and the Muslims ... well no one can trash Muslims , it's not PC. - 2 years ago

Even you while talking through your nurses cap must realize that Milosevic rule was Russia backed. Whell who was doing all this to Serbs? Isn't what you describe what happened in Bosnia followed by Kosovo with Serbia aggresion. You really ought to write Radovan Karadzic war crimes court & tell them they are making a big mistake. Maybe even sue on his behalf. Really the nerve of you.

Ankab, the Russians killed more Serbians in WWI &WWII than Nazi's killed Jews. Serbs aren't siding with them. The Serbs were always allies with the USA and we went in there and bombed them because our government was taking the popular PC side.
I am married to a Serbian and they have been persecuted for many years this was Final Payback. They only did to others what those others had been doing to them for decades.I have this on information from the Serbian Orthodox church. We have a Serbian Orthodox Priest in the family.
People that get tortured and beaten and keep quiet about it finally rise up and fight back. They then get a bad reputation because NO ONE knows the history. Just like the Shawnee Indians that took abuse from the loud rude arrogant Iroquois that said they owned everything and sold the Shawnee hunting grounds to colonists without even mentioning it to any other native tribes. When the Shawnee finally rose up they were labeled as savages forever, yet only the last few years of all of their existence were they fighting. And I know this because I am part Shawnee.
So, bubala, get your history lesson before commenting, paybacks a B*tch! - 2 years ago

Clinton garners statue for war crimes.
Why is it not important to history or the press that our bombing precipitated the ethnic cleansing, and was not over concern for it...
"NATO Commander General Wesley Clark statement, made to the press a few days after the bombing began, that Serbian atrocities in reaction to the bombing were "entirely predictable," "fully anticipated," and "not in any way a concern of the political leadership"; and several weeks earlier to the White House, that if NATO attacked, "almost certainly [Serbia] will attack the civilian population" and NATO will be able to do nothing about it. Thus Clark very explicitly predicted, and the White House recognized, that NATO bombing would precipitate Serbian atrocities — exactly what happened, as the voluminous Western record demonstrates."
"the quote from clark comes from http://www.zmag.org/znet/viewArticle/22503"On War crimes in Kosovo http://www.chomsky.info/articles/200005--.htm
Clinton was a war criminal like the rest, and if you want change you are going to have to change your political funding so it's not a rich man's club that is vying for support among your corporate criminals.
