Bare breasts on TV: Healthy?

This serves a serious purpose: Conservative groups such as Concerned Women for America have said this was strictly for ratings, says Dr. Logan Levkoff in The Huffington Post. "You know what? I don't care." People need to think more about how to stay healthy. "Knowing how to do self-exams saves lives."
"Those Bad Breasts"
This was just a publicity stunt: Most of the women watching already know how to check themselves for breast cancer, says Lily Robertson in Seacoast Online, and men couldn't give "two figs" about women's health. So this was a publicity stunt, "pure and simple." Women are smart enough to care about their own health without "some cheeky broad giving us a Girls Gone Wise medical display."
"Live! Nude! Girl!"
The video was misleading: There's a "bigger question here," says Tami Dennis in the Los Angeles Times. Are breast self-exams even necessary? "Many experts aren't so sure." Self-exams can "increase unnecessary testing and biopsies," and create anxiety. The "crucial" thing to remember is that the self-exam is "NOT a substitute for regular breast examinations from your doctor."

Ok for starters, lets stop showing big bare asses by forbidding politicians to appear on Television and making personal appearances. Make sure that these asses are arrested for indecent exposure and marked as pedophiles and sent up the river to a camp away from decent citizens and lobbyists and corporate hitmen and all other political conmen and scammers.

Americans are so damned prude.
Everyday on TV they have some scantily-clad woman shaking her ass to a pop/rock/rap song on a video during after-school hours, simulated sex scenes during the prime-time hours, but as soon as someone shows an uncensored breast for educational purposes it's "done for ratings".
What do you think influenced children more? The breast cancer exam report or the half-naked woman they saw on an ABC drama? And furthermore, our American prudishness isn't teaching our children anything except to be ashamed of our bodies. We over-analyze our children when it comes to sex after plopping them down in front of the TV, which bombards them with sexual content, then chide them for dressing like what they see on said television. If you had a responsible conversation about sex with your children, then this probably wouldn't be an issue at 8 to 12 years of age.
The human body is something to be admired and not ashamed, exploited, or afraid of.

You know if you got to England you will see breast all the time, but they will not show killings and violence. This is to show how to save your life and catch breast cancer before it spreads. Who ever thinks this is a sexual act you are sick.

Oh for goodness sake.
Go to Europe, and in many TV shows and commercials, you can see half naked women, and often men (even frontal shots) doing ordinary things one does naked. Sex scenes are often portrayed, too.
Magazines, newspapers, all show female breasts, often in sexy ads for female products.
The US is so stuck up about such things, we really need to get over it.

Welcome to the human body - everyone has one . How can it be offensive ? If you are deranged and have guilt about your own thoughts , that's how .

So teaching people how to examine themselves is offensive? Can we also get rid of tampon comericals and viagra comericals? But to be extra safe we should also remove anything about bodily functions period.

Why not? Clothing was invented to protect the body from the elements and had nothing to do with style or covering up the nasty looking body. Africa should have shown the world that the body is the only clothing we were born with and the fact there are some really ugly bodies, if they were in the nude, they would surely not shock anybody if they were seen often enough. Look at the over weighted people who look like they were poured into their shorts or slacks Ugly but since they are human and have feelings they must be acceptable. Vanity is a fraud.

Strictly for ratings? Have they seen some of the programs on television lately? And do they know that damn infomercial for 'Girls Gone Wild' is showing all the time? I seriously can't believe that anyone would actually find this sexually enticing on any level. Can't believe anyone, anywhere, would find a breast exam video controversial, but obviously someone does.
