i love how they simultainiously support the destruction of the country who granted them the most freedom they have ever had (under the rule of the shah)while protesting thier govts refusal to grant them freedom.
the real news story would be iranian protest remains peacefull, violence is inherant in thier social order - 2 years ago

Our Iranian brothers and sisters, regardless of age, gender and sexuality, we are with you, and I am so proud of you, to see you stand up against your corrupt government, if only our own backward countries had the nerve to do it themsleves, don't ever give up, we're with you in mind and spirit all the way.

These people dying for freedom would have half a chance if the President of the US would stop supporting the Islamic slaughterers in power. The worst president at the worst time. Obama wants to enrich their uranium. Got that?

I would get a bit more informed as apparently the protesters turn against Russia, which currently 'supports' Iranian government and not US, which was supporting the Shah before the revolution 30 years ago

Obama doesn't support Iran. Just last month he was busy trying to drum up another fake WMD story, just like Bush did with Iraq.
However Obama, along with the rest of the puppet Congress, unequivocally do support the Jewish slaughterers in Israel.
Just saying, you know.

this is so amazing. i think now that every small counter-regime holiday, any little event can spur thousands of people in the streets!
Iran has found its will to live!
also, i love the lack of violence from the protesters, they are so brave. - 2 years ago

Iranian protesters and people following the demonstrations globally have again taken to Twitter to discuss the events and post coverage in real time.
Using the hash tag #iranelection, people in Iran are posting pictures and videos from the protests as well as arranging places to meet.
On YouTube, footage is being uploaded regularly, bypassing the limited and often biased coverage from mainstream press sources who are associated with the Iranian government

The Times reports that the mother of Neda Soltan has been detained. Neda Soltan was the student whose shooting during an earlier demonstration made her a worldwide icon of the resistance.
