i am guessing this must have been something building up in the man. he probably just couldn't take it anymore.

If this guy pulls through and wakes up I think we should at least ask him why he did it. Find out why, and you might prevent future outbreaks.

One cannot blame Islam for a minority of extremists, criminals and psychos among them, just as one cannot blame Christians for a similar minority, that make their own interpretations of the Quran/Bible, that take it upon themselves to enforce their own beliefs using violence and hatred, that fail to take medication. I believe Muslims, Jews and Christians believe in the same God, no matter the name or philosophical differences. Dr. Hasan, who helped many, sadly didn't receive the help or attention needed to prevent this tragedy. The same can be said of Timothy McVey, Eric Rudolph, etc. Don't blame religion. Blame the individual responsible.

So this is what it has come to -- this is the fruit of the long-term efforts by groups such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations and others, to stigmatize and demonize everyone who speaks honestly about the threat of jihad and Islamic supremacism. People are afraid to speak up about what they see, when they know it is wrong.

And all it cost this week was 13 dead and 38 wounded.

How bout some Christian Arabs, I know alot of Christan Arabs,Kurds, and other Christian minority groups, have been ran out of their countries. Where they have peacefully practiced their Christian beliefs, alongside, their Muslim neighbors. Can't we recruit some Arabic speakers from this group of persecuted Christians.

This proves to me that Muslims are crazy.....This man, was a Army Officer( a Major for Christ sakes) and a Psychiatrist, wtf! There is something called EO or there is a chain of command and the Army has zero tolerance for any type of harassment. Obviously this guy had a screw loose for a long time and should have been flagged for emotional instability. But then again, you really never know what is truly going through a man's mind....I've known soldiers who say their fine but deep down inside they're suffering from some kind of mental illness and if they don't seek help they end up in a downward spiral, it's really sad, especially in the U.S. Army where you are told and trained to "suck it up and drive on", but hopefully the Army will become a little more empathetic(not sympathy, no one in the Army wants sympathy, they just want some one to listen and not be judgmental about his or her problems), and prevent this from happening in the future.....sad. My heart goes go out to FT Hood.

Something must of snapped in this mans head, I only have sympathy for the victims and their families but I still must wonder what drove this guy to a deliberate massacre and grotesque mission to kill innocent fellow soldiers. I only hope he gets out of the coma so we can all find out and prevent this from happening again, and so he can live the rest of his life in solitude and pain for the lives he ended.
