As the insistent beat of unregulated mass consumption continues, another species faces annihilation. If you're eating bluefin tuna, congratulations; you've become part of the problem!

    • Thank you Japan, 1 small country which accounts for over 1/4 of the entire world's consumption of bluefin! Seriously though until we address Japan's hatred of all things aquatic we'll continue losing delicious species (although we as american's must take responsibility for the inevitable demise of the terribly bland cod).

Hope you weren't planning on having grouper for a back-up...

    • Tragedy. It seems like along with the nutrition content and the fact that the food was manufactured on equipment with peanuts there should be an endangered sticker on it too.

Unfortunatly the science doesn't conquer the short term economics. Reductions in catch numbers equate to reductions in profits. If they were able to wrap their heads around the long term benefits of sustainable fishing it really would help to extend there lively hoods, but nope. It's simply get as much as you can, while you still can, until you get canned.

That's good, attack people that need to hear the message and alienate them to the cause. Congratulations; you're no better.

seems pretty logical to me..cause and effect. eat the endangered species and promote the fishing and destruction of that species. I don't see it as an attack but a realistic explanation...

those that eat bluefin tuna will hopefully read it and decide whether or not they care. I have little faith in the compassion of most humans no matter what approach you try on them and I doubt many will change any of their habits as it is an inconvenience to reflect upon the morality of their choices.
