Donna Brazile said that she thinks the Stupak Amendment which was added to the health care bill that passed the House effectively makes abortion illegal.

    • i wouldn't say it makes abortion illegal. from what i understand, insurance policies that cover abortions in any instance other than rape, incest, and cases where the life of the mother are in jeopardy, receive no federal funding / subsidies / whatnot. you can still purchase policies that cover all abortions, but you receive no help for your health insurance form the gov't. is there more to it that i missed?
